If you like the look of your vehicle’s front end and want to keep it that way, this base plate system blends right in. The tabless design means there’s no crossbar or brackets sticking out, and the drawbar arms stay attached to your tow bar instead of the bumper. When you’re not towing, snap on the included high-density polyethylene covers to keep dirt and debris out of the receivers so everything slides in smoothly next time.
The hookup process is simple and fast thanks to the twist-lock system. Just slide the tabs into the receivers, twist to lock, and insert the pull pins for extra security. To disconnect, pull the pin, twist, and slide them back out. It’s a solid connection that doesn’t fight you when you line things up alone in your driveway or at camp. The distance between brackets is 28-1/4" and bracket height is 18-1/2", which makes it easy to plan your setup.
This base plate bolts directly to your chassis—no welding required—and distributes towing forces evenly across the frame. The sturdy steel build keeps stress off the suspension during long-distance towing. Owners who’ve run this setup for thousands of miles trust it to stay tight and secure on every trip.
If you already own a tow bar, there’s a good chance it’ll fit right up. This kit works directly with all Demco, etrailer, and Blue Ox tow bars—no adapter needed. Using a Roadmaster tow bar? Just add the correct adapter (DM9523036, DM9523062, DM9523014, or DM9523023, sold separately) to make it work. An included electrical bracket lets you mount a round connector plug neatly on the front so your wiring stays organized and ready to go.
You don’t need special tools or a welder for this job—just basic hand tools and some patience with fascia removal. The kit includes instructions, hardware, and new rivets where needed, so everything bolts up securely without extra parts runs. It’s a straightforward project that rewards you with a clean, factory-looking finish once everything’s buttoned up.

I would give the tow bar a minus numberif possible. I bought it in hopes of not cutting up the shutter housing on my 2025 Maverick Hybrid. Well the bolt holes did not line up. I spoke with the Demco Engineers about the issue and they said that I must have a bent frame. My vehicle was two weeks old from the manufacturing date and all the rest of the pieces in the front assembly fit perfectly from Ford. I lad less then 200 miles on the unit. I made some cuts in the bar to allow more movement with the approval of Demco and still I could not get the front facia on. I called installers and they said they just cut away whatever is needed to get a tow bar on. None that I talked to at 3 places had as yet done this model installation. E trailer accepted my return and I put a roadmaster bar on.
I gave this 5 stars based on design and durability.Installation, however, is somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. Installation can be a real challenge, and even the best back yard mechanic might be a tad frustrated. The biggest problem in installation is NOT installing but getting ready to install. Removal od the tow bar hooks took more time than installing the base plates. We're talking a 2018 F-150 XLT Sport 4X4 crew cab. The pics show the finished product and the location of the safety can\bles.

The product itself is great. It fit fine and seems to be designed and built well.
Parts of the installation instructions are not correct for my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. The front fascia has a couple of additional connection points at the bottom and it also connects to the front fender "flares" differently than the instructions show. If you do not realize the differences, then you can definitely damage your front fascia.
Once we got thru the installation this Tow plate system has worked great. I like that it is fully hidden when not in use.

Hookup to the motor home is super easy, with the demco tow bar, and hookups. Would recommend to anyone looking to tow, look to Demco!
I really like the way this base plate installed. Everything fit perfect and I like the look once it was completed. It's a snap to hook up with room for error. Our Jeep pulls like it's not even there.
