Features to know about

Stays Connected on Rough Terrain: Fully Articulating 360° Hitch Design

Off-road towing can twist and flex your setup in every direction. The Lock N Roll Articulating Hitch w/ 5-Position Channel forms a tight, interlocked connection with its matching trailer-side coupler (sold separately) that won’t pop loose like a traditional ball coupler. The bearing in the head unit allows 360 degrees of rotation plus side-to-side and up-and-down pivoting, keeping the trailer stable even over rough trails. The result is smoother, quieter handling and less stress on your gear.

Adapts to Different Trailer Heights: 5-Position Adjustable Channel

Level towing makes all the difference when swapping between trailers. This hitch includes a 5-position channel bracket with holes spaced 2" center to center. With a maximum drop or rise of 8-1/4", you can fine-tune your setup to match multiple trailer heights without extra tools. Grade 5 bolts and locknuts are included so you can secure the position firmly once it’s set.

Built for Heavy Loads: 11,000 lbs GTW Capacity

When you're hauling heavy trailers or equipment, strength matters. The Lock N Roll’s steel alloy construction handles up to 11,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 1,100 lbs maximum tongue weight. It’s a solid piece built for high-capacity towing while keeping the connection snug and dependable under load.

Quieter, More Secure Towing: Close-Fit Design That Reduces Rattle

Traditional pintle or ball setups can leave play in the connection that turns into noise and jerking on the road. The Lock N Roll’s close-fit coupler interface eliminates that slop for a smoother, quieter ride. The latching plates lock visibly into place so you can confirm at a glance that you’re fully secured before heading out.

Straightforward Setup and Maintenance: Simple Hardware and Clear Access

Ease of hookup matters when you’re lining up on uneven ground or at an angle. The Lock N Roll’s wide range of motion makes connecting quick and stress-free. It includes the attachment hardware needed for securing the latching plates, uses standard 5/8" diameter x 5" long mounting bolts torqued to 112 ft-lbs, and resists corrosion with a black paint finish so it stays dependable season after season.

Fully connected Lock N Roll articulating hitch and coupler assembly demonstrating secure fit between vehicle-side and trailer-side components.

by:

This adapter was just what I needed to hook up my 21" tongue height off road utility trailer to my Nissan Frontier.

by:

Product quality seems good, I was just not to impressed with the shipping because when it got to me the grease zerk was sheared off. That's the only reason I gave it a 4

by:

Item works And performs as advertised! This works wonders on my lifted truck and is ideal hauling my Opus Camper! Thank you Etrailer

by:

by:

Worked very well on our 3 week road trip and the etrailer staff was very helpful in assisting with the purchase.

by:

The other half of the great experience. I can trust this to get me and my equipment there and back. Easy operation and robust components.

by:

Extremely well built and heavy duty. It has two length adjustments. Therefore my tailgate doesn't hit the hitch. Will give an update after I tow my overlanding camper. More to follow...

by:

product was described well and came quickly, and was the right combo of two products I needed. However I thought it would come with a hitch pin, that might have been my error to think that though.

by:

This hitch has made it possible for both our Subaru Outback and our truck to pull our small RV. It was a good price for an invaluable piece of equipment!

It’s still working great! Just what we needed, thank you!

by:

The Hitch as exactly what we needed as our new vehicle was a bit lower and we need to have the extra positions to get the correct height. The hitch has performed as expected...great product, we love the hitch.

by:

Product works great especially for offroad situations.

by:

Bought this to deal with the height difference between my trailer and the rear hitch on my car and it works very well - solidly built too.

by:

This is the best hitch! Super durable, easy to use and secure. Really well build solid. Is super heavy which shows the quality

Let me just tell you that I got rear ended while the hitch was on ….short story nothing happen to my car or the hitch, but the person that rear ended me, well that’s a different story

by:

Needed a larger drop for my hitch and this did the job. Even fit better then the one that came with my trailer.

  • Can the Bolts in a Lock N Roll Hitch Be Replaced with Locking Hitch Pins?
Hi Kurt, The bolts in Lock N Roll hitches cannot be replaced with locking hitch pins. This is because the mounting bolts are structural fasteners designed to be torqued to a specific to amount to clamp the hitch to the channel. Eliminating the clamping force would allow movement and wear on the hitch in addition to reduced strength. Locking hitch pins typically are not made with as high a grade of steel as the bolts so they would likely fail, which could be catastrophic.

The # 336VS503515 comes with the adjustable channel bracket along with the adjustable channel mount and bolts. You will need to install the channel mount in the appropriate rise/drop position since it does not come fully assembled. It looks like you already have a complete Lock N Roll hitch so you actually don't need the # 336VS503515. Instead, you could get the # 336TS515 to replace your existing channel bracket. • Recommended Sway Control for Lock N Roll Articulating Hitch System
With the Lock N Roll Articulating Hitch # 336VS503515 I recommend using the Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control # 335TSC-1000. This sway control attaches to the electric trailer brakes on your trailer and will activate the brakes independently on the left or right side to help reduce/prevent trailer sway. Since it is wired to the trailer there are no mechanical parts to attach and remove whenever you connect to the trailer.

  • Is There a Trailer Coupler Designed For Offroading
There is a trailer coupler designed specifically to be used for offroading, from Lock N Roll. This uses an articulating connection between the coupler and accompanying hitch mount that gives a full 360 degree rotation between the two. So the trailer won't bounce off a hitch ball as you go over uneven surfaces as there isn't a hitch ball in use. • Adjustable Height Setup for Lock N Roll Articulating Hitch Setup
While the shank of your current Lock N Roll articulating hitch would fit into the hitch opening of the # 3371802225 we can't recommend you go that route as it was not intended for use in any other way aside from with the adjustable ball mount setup. Your best and safest solution would be the Lock N Roll Articulating Hitch part # 336VS503515. This gives you the height adjustability and since it's been tested there'd be no concern that it would be a dangerous setup.
