Features to know about

Keeps Your Trailer Level: 5" Rise or 6" Drop

Getting the trailer height right makes every tow smoother and safer. This fixed ball mount can be used in either a 5" rise or 6" drop position, letting you line up your trailer so it rides level behind your vehicle. When everything sits even, you cut down on sway and uneven tire wear, which helps the setup track straighter on the road.

Handles Heavy Loads with Confidence: 12,000 lbs GTW Rating

For bigger trailers or fully loaded hauls, strength matters most. This mount carries a 12,000 lbs gross towing weight rating and 1,200 lbs tongue weight capacity, backed by a solid steel shank that takes on serious pulling duty. It’s built to stay rigid under pressure so you can hitch up without worrying about flex or fatigue over time.

Built Solid for Long-Term Use: Corrosion-Resistant Black Powder Coat

Towing gear takes a beating from weather, salt, and road grime. The high-gloss black powder coat finish fights corrosion to keep the steel protected trip after trip. Even with heavy use, the coating helps the mount hold its clean look and resist rust that can eat into exposed metal parts.

Simple and Steady: Fixed Design That Just Works

No moving parts, no adjustments—just a solid mount that stays put once installed. The 9-3/8" length from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole gives you stable spacing for most trailers. With fewer points of play, it keeps your connection snug and quiet mile after mile.

Ready for Your Setup: Compatible with Standard Hitch Hardware

Made for 2" x 2" hitch receivers, this mount has a 1-1/4" ball hole and a 5/8" pin hole for standard towing hardware. The hitch pin and clip are sold separately, so you can choose exactly the locking setup you prefer. It’s an easy fit for anyone who wants straightforward gear that gets right to work.

Wanted 2-1/2" size to eliminate the 2" adaptor and all the play that was associated with that. Also appreciate the 1-1/4" ball mounting hole. Seems like a sturdier setup and more trustworthy for my racing trailer.

by:

Ordered 7 and a half inch drop. I received 8 inch drop.

by:

The Curt ball mount with the 10" drop is a perfect fit for my motorcycle trailer. The extended length really helps in tight turns. Best of all, it's made in USA. Stay safe on those Ozark streams

here's a couple more photos of the Curry ball mount. It provides just enough clearance to allow me to make sharp turns without making contact with the rear spare tire

by:

Well made and exactly what I needed to haul my 3000lb. travel trailer. Delivered quickly and I appreciated the detailed updates about my order as it was processed and shipped. The extra length of the mount allows my SUV liftgate to clear the trailer jack and open all the way. 4" rise ball mounts are not easy to find and I'm pleased to have found one at a reasonable price.

by:

I needed an extra long shank to accommodate a Curt bike rack that attaches to the hitch mount. This worked perfectly, and it's heavy duty and well made.

by:

I purchased Curt's 6" drop ball mount for my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport which is not lifted but has 32" tall tires. The utility trailer I plan to purchase recommends a 12" tongue/ball height for level towing. The Curt 6" drop ball mount places my tongue/ball height at 13.5" which is acceptable. The bottom of my tow ball mounting nut is now 12" above the road surface. Plenty of clearance for safe towing. I'm very pleased with the quality and functionality of my Curt ball mount. I'm looking forward to purchasing a utility trailer soon. I think it will tow very nicely using my Curt 6" drop ball hitch.

This is the real deal and perfect for towing heavy loads for Super Duty 250 and 350 capicities.
Solid Forged Steel and I feel sorry for ever who runs into the back of the truck.
I added a pair of coupling links for easier connecting of the safety chains.
It looks incredible on the vehicle and it is where it belongs on the Super Duty line up of trucks.
I highly recommend this hitch for any working professional who is the towing business and needs the best of the best equipment.

by:

The length of this hitch is great. I can finally open the tailgate of my truck when the trailer is hooked up even if it only clears the tailgate by about 1/2 inch. I couldn't find another hitch long enough to allow that

Works as intended

by:

Very heavy steel, strong gussets, very reasonable price for the level of quality

by:

This is the good one. Solid attachment point, not the hollow bracket kind.

by:

My only concern was the packaging was on the poor side by the time it got to me. It was bad enough that I was concerned the items were still in the box.

by:

Fast shipping and no problem.

by:

The item came faster than expected, and in great condition. It is exactly what we need for hauling our horse trailer. Customer service has been outstanding. Highly recommend.

by:

Great products and service, will be ordering 2 hubs Monday AM. I had ordered a weight distribution hitch a year ago that I do not need, can I still return it? Thanks Peter

by:

All of the positive reviews I read before the purchase were spot on.
Excellent product that has performed flawlessly. The staff at etrailer are on top of their game also. I highly recommend this product and buying from etrailer.

  • Will Hitch Install on 2018 Chevy Equinox Affect Hands Free Lift Gate
According to Draw-Tite, their # 76419 hitch will prevent the hand-free liftgate sensors from picking up input at the middle of the vehicle around where the receiver tube will be, which is typical. However, they'll still work on either side of the receiver as shown in the photo I provided. If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll also need a wiring harness, a ball mount and a trailer ball. For the wiring, use # 118759. For the ball mount, use # C45446 along with the # PC3 hitch pin and...

  • How to Choose the Correct Ball Mount for a 2017 Kia Sedona
In order to determine the correct amount of rise/drop you will need in a ball mount you will want to measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler on your trailer while level then subtract this measurement from the ground to the top of the inside edge on the hitch for your 2017 Kia Sedona. I have attached a help article that will walk you through this process as well. When we installed the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75894 on a 2015/2016 Kia Sedona we found...
