Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're looking at our Demco Slide-Lok Trailer Coupler. It's an adjustable channel-mounted coupler, and it's been primed, and it's gonna work with a 2 5/16 inch hitch ball rated at 12,500 pounds gross towing weight. Now, folks, this does fit a 3-inch wide channel bracket, so this would go inside of the channel, and then you would use the bolts you already have to secure it in place. You simply pull the safety pin out here that keeps the collar from opening, and, at that point, when you pull the collar down, this spring-loaded side is gonna pop open which would then let you put the ball in.
Obviously it's gonna be down like this. And then whenever you put the ball in, you would simply squeeze this back together. That's gonna automatically slide down, so watch your fingers. I do have a ball here, a 2 5/16 ball just for demo only, just to show you how this works. So, again, you'd pull the collar, and then you'd go down on the ball, and then you would simply push this together.
Now it is locked in place, and then whenever it's time to unload or uncouple, you simply pull the collar back, (ball banging) and it's going to uncouple that and let you use your ball again for something else and then park your trailer. So it is a pin-style fastener that holds that collar up in place. So, again, once you get it hooked up, you're gonna put this pin back in place here, and that's gonna keep it from being able to slide back and open back up. So, again, folks, prime finish, payment to match whatever your trailer color is, and, again, rated at 12,500 pounds capacity. Again, you should have that channel bracket and mount of the hardware already.
