What's up everybody, Adam here with the etrailer. Today, we have a trailer coupler and this is gonna be the Curt adjustable trailer coupler. So this is gonna be a little bit different than some of the standard couplers that we have, kind of just like this. And the benefit that you see to the latch type coupler is it's gonna be better for the offroad applications. So whenever you have a ball in here, let me just show you real quick. Latch into place.
So we're gonna have a lot more play here. Meaning, it's gonna be really good for the offroad applications. I have one of these on our horse trailer, there's a lot of times it's really uneven terrain where we go riding. So this is gonna give you a little bit more than a normal coupler like this, but it's not gonna be as off road appropriate as a pintle hook. But this is gonna have a lot less of play.
So pretty much all you have to do is put the thing on there. We're gonna push the us little sleeve in this little latch and then the sleeve is gonna cover all of that up. And then we're gonna have a pin which is included. Also just go through one side like that. So it's kind of cool that's included.
I appreciate that. So that's gonna prevent it from coming out. So you don't have to grab that separately, which is awesome. And then to take it off, you just gotta go like that. So, you saw how much movement we could have with the Curt, just to show you what happens sometimes when you go off road with these normal couplers.
and as they latch down like that, so what could is if you go down like a little hill and you have to go right back up the hill, this is all we have really. It's not a whole lot, so in extreme situations, it's gonna pop off and destroy a coupler or the ball. So you definitely wanna be very careful if you're gonna use a normal one. But this is great for off-road applications. It is gonna have a ball size of two and five sixteenths of an inch. It's made of a high heavy duty steel construction and a black powder coated finish. So it shouldn't rust away over time. Our coupler's gonna have a capacity of 12,000 pounds, to just wanna make sure you're not gonna exceed that on your trailer. I always like to go bigger than smaller just because it's not gonna break as easy. So one other thing that comes with the kit is the mounting hardware. A lot of them don't, but this one does. It just gives you two bolts and it is high quality bolts for about five inches long. And just make sure that your channel is three inches from the inside to inside lip. 'Cause that is what this coupler is gonna need. So let's go ahead and take some measurements. The overall length of our coupler is about 10 and a half inches right here. From the center of the mounting holes, it's about nine and a half inches. And then the overall length that we're gonna add to our trailer with this on is about nine. If I we're to compare this to something else if you're doing extremely off-road stuff, get a pintle hook and that is gonna give you the most amount of travel. But this is gonna give you more than just the standard coupler. We have a lot of different ones on our website. Some of 'em won't come with hardware to mount it up and some will like this one. But there really isn't a whole lot difference between the two. These are basically the same exact size, it has the same rating, comes with the clip. It just doesn't come with mounting hardware. So I just like the black one on here a little bit better than the silver, just because there's no other silver besides a little Jack right here. So I think it goes together pretty well. We have a lot of options on our website. And if you need things like safety chains, or the little channels, or ball mount, whatever you need, we got it. So hopefully this video helps you figure out if this is right for you. If not, we have something for you on our site..

It's a great ball coupler, I had ordered a 2" and it was backordered, I was recommended this hitch in replacement because it would ship out immediately, but it's a 2 5/16", I needed a 2", it will work and it's a great coupler.
Can’t beat the price. Perfect for allmand light tires.
Easy to work with. Product is quality and well made.
1st class service
Fast service and Great customer service!
I planned to use #25329 in conjunction with #45900, but found that the channel sides on the coupler were slightly out of parallel and would not fit as supplied. Needed to grind/file a radius on edge to match the inside radius on the ballmount. It fits perfectly now.
Broke my coupler and needed a replacement. This was an identical match. The trailer company must get their couplers here too; It's that exact.
The best service ever. Quick delivery and a great product.
