Hey, everyone, I'm Shane. And here at etrailer, we install, test-fit and review different products to hopefully help make your decision much easier. Today I have a 2018 Coachmen Leprechaun motor home. I'm going to walk through how to install the wheel master valve stem extenders. Valve stem extenders are going to be great for extending your valve stems out to make them a lot more accessible. Let's face it on a motor home we have these nice caps on, but the valve stems kind of sit back inside the hole a little bit.
So it makes it a little bit difficult when you're trying to add air pressure or just checking the pressure all together. So let's say we wanted to add the tire pressure monitor system. The tire pressure monitor system has a sensor that screws onto the end of the valve stem. If you did not have an extension, the tire pressure monitor system sensor is not going to fit inside of there. So again, adding these on is going to make it much easier.
Not only now, but in the long run. You can see they're going to have a 45 degree angle on them. So that gets that to the end of that out pretty far so it makes it easy to access. They're going to be a solid nickel alloy coated brass. They're going to come with new valve stem tips so when this is put onto your old valve stem or your factory valve stem that is going to come with a new cap.
These are going to be designed for your front wheels. They're going to come in a set of two. There are other valve stem extenders available. You can find those here at etrailer. For example, U-shape, there's flexible lines.
What I recommend is checking to see how your factory valve stem is set up with your cap to make sure you pick up the correct ones. Now that we've gone over some of the features let's walk you through how to get them installed. To start our installation, we're going to remove our wheel cover. Trim panel tool, you get it right in the edge. You want to use a screwdriver, you can, just watch bending the metal. We're just going to work the way around. This is going to be our factory valve stem. We're just going to remove the cap and we'll install a new one. You can take a 7/16 wrench to tighten it down on there. Once you get one on you can reinstall your cover. And then repeat the process for any of your remaining valve stem extensions you're installing. Once you're done adding your extensions I recommend taking some soapy water and you're going to spray where this valve stem goes into your factory valve stem. And what you're looking for is little bubbles to be created. If you see little bubbles, you need to tighten the end of it down a little bit more. That's gonna do it for installation on the Wheel Masters valve stem extenders on a 2018 Coachmen Leprechaun motor home..

I have not used these extenders yet. I was not sure how much curvature I needed when I ordered. Product appears to be of good quality. May return or use on front wheels since the 135 degree extensions worked so well on the rears.

Valve extensions work great. Be sure that you have steel valve stems as they are hard to fill when you attach them to rubber valve stems.
These extenders allowed me to mount flow through sensors on the front wheels of my motorhome. Without them, it was nearly impossible to even check air pressure.

I bought these to extend the fill point for a couple of motorcycle air shocks and they weren't compatible with the fitting on the shock but for a regular application, I'm sure they would be great. As usual, fast shipping and a good price from Etrailer.
