Is There A TPMS Valve Stem Extension Shorter Than 2" From etrailer?

Updated 03/20/2026 | Published 03/18/2026

Question:

I’m looking for a 1” straight stem extender to attach a TPMS sensor to my motorhome front tires because the existing stem is too close to the wheel to attach the sensor. I only see 2” or longer extenders on your site. Is there a 1” option available?

Hey Paul!

The 2" is pretty much the smallest valve stem extension we have, such as Wheel Masters Tire Pressure Valve Extenders # WM80292 you were looking at. Now we do actually have one that offers a straight extension of about 1-1/2", then has a 45 degree bend. So it ends up being around 2" or so total after the bend. The part number for that one is # WM8029 in case it happens to look like a better fit for you. I went out to our warehouse to grab a pic for you.

Let me know what you think. Sorry we didn't have the exact size you were looking for. What kind of system do you have, and what is the vehicle and wheel type?

Paul, online and most auto parts stores have valve stem extensions. 1.5 in would be the shortest, but I found a rubber extension that can be used and then removed until the next pressure check.

It's about four years ago, I purchased these extenders to use on a Class C (Ford F-450 chassis) motorhome. I had an issue with them fitting properly between the valve stems and the chrome wheels covers. I gave them to friend to use on his RV. Sorry I wasn't able to be of much help.

Hi Paul, I purchased the 2" extensions for my RV's front wheels, and they work great. I would add a photo, but this post won't let me. The extensions come out to the back of the lug nuts. They stick out far enough, but not too far. Don S
