Randy: Hey guys. Randy here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at some valve stem extenders from Wheel Masters. These are just the straight version. Basically anytime we're dealing with dual rear wheels like this, we usually have an air fitting that's hard to get to. That inner wheel generally doesn't allow itself to be very easily accessible.
You can see on ours here, it's just basically tucked right back in the end there, and while we can kind of get to it to get the cap off the end, it's just not ideal.Generally, when you're taking this cap off, what you'll do is drop it. And then you got to, kind of, get down there and dig in-between and try to get to it. So these are available, this is a three-inch version, but they're available in a two-inch extension or a four-inch extension. You want to be sure you're not using these on a rubber valve stem, they're just too heavy. They'll kind of flop around.
But, see that's a nice steel valve stem that we have there. And by using this extender, we'll just get it started on there, threads on just like a valve stem cap will. Let me get it down, and then it's got that nut on it, we'll use a 7/16-inch wrench for that. You can go in between the tires if you need to, but we don't need to have these super tight, we just want them to be tight enough, of course, where no air is going to escape..Let me see, that's on there, nice and stiff. And then we got that Chrome cap there.
Now we've moved that out either two, three or four inches. It makes it much easier to get to. Now there are other extenders available. This one comes straight out, so this is where we're going to use the straight line. But if you look at this one, you can see with this valve stem here, it points towards the inside.
So that's where like the reverse air chuck, you can kind of get in there, hook onto it and pull out on it. But using a bent extender like this helps us out in this situation. Just depending on what your application calls for. Just allows us to get these out here where it's much more easy to get air into our tires and maintain proper pressure.You can see it's got a nice bright finish to it. It's going to come with the metal cap. In some situations people like to switch the metal cap for just the standard black plastic ones. Sometimes corrosion can be an issue and make these a little tough to get off so just keep that in mind. This is the one that's been on here for probably about a year and a half and you can see the finish is still holding up really well. There weren't any issues with leaks or anything, just like this one here. It's been on there for about a year and a half too and really no major issues with corrosion or discoloration.Overall, guys, I think these are an excellent idea. Anytime we can make it easier to properly maintain our vehicle, we're going to do it more often. When tire pressures get low or if we don't check them often enough, it can cause safety issues. If not safety issues it can cause weird wear on our tires and things like that. So if I had a set of dual rear wheels like this, I would definitely extend them out, make them easier to get to, an easier to maintain.

Good product. Works with TireMinder i10. Attaching bracket to the center hub required a small right angle drill attachment.
Definitly American made product and pretty solid. Needed this to be able to extend my current tire valve out past the hub cap port so that I could easily take air pressure readings while travelling in my RV. Before this I would have to remove the hub cap first in order to use my digital pressure guage- NO MORE. Timely delivery and very satisfied! :)
Stems work perfectly. Nice to be able to do my own tire check before I hit the road.
This will definitely prevent the hidden valve issue on the rear dually’s when the original valve stem floats behind the wheel and is not accessible.

Product is holding up as expected. Still tight and no leaks best if all ! Solid product if you want to be able to access your valve stem with ease and keep the air pressure checking simple. No more floating , hidden valve stems !!

The WM tire valve extension are good quality and work well. The reason I gave it four star is with steel dual wheels I had to use a crows foot and ratchet with a long extension to snug it up on the valve stem on the wheel because the female end of the extension spins like that of a garden hose. So you either have to have small hands to reach through the wheel holes with an open end wrench or remove the duals to get to the inside dual to snug it up or use a crows foot. If the nut would have been on the end just below the extension valve core and the end on wheel fixed would have been much easier for me.

After a year still working as designed.
Just received them and haven't tried them yet but they seem to be well made. Also was pleasantly surprised to see they are US made - always willing to pay a little more for American made products. Etrailer's follow-up is top notch, keep up the good work.

They work very well, highly recommend especially for very short factory valve stems when the air chuck will not seat properly.
Look great. Just put them on so don't have any milage on them yet, but they are well built.

Going to use these on 5th wheel trailer. Previously had gotten some made in China and they were poorly constructed with much thinner metal, easy to break and totally not trust worthy so I ordered these. These are well made and should last for a long time. Much heavier metal construction and much more robust internal components. Go USA, well worth the extra money. And etrailer has the best price for these extenders.

I have bought numerous valve stem extenders, over time. While they are simple, some don't make proper contact, others leak, others simply don't work.

installed one of them and it seems to hold pressure and not leak-that is the main thing I was lookin for. I was also looking for a longer threaded end so my quick connect chuck could be used without any problems and it fits the bill there also.
Look good on the vehicle. They fit well and go on and off without too much trouble. Certainly meets my expectations

Still great! I did put a small piece of tubing around them to prevent squeeks against the cap...just a small mod...
