Tire Sensor Installation

Tire sensor Install Diagram

  1. Screw the anti-theft hex nut onto your tire's valve stem threads until it bottoms out.
  2. Screw the sensor onto the valve stem. Tighten the sensor until the air stops leaking and the sensor bottoms out on the valve stem. Give it a slight twist to seat the sensor while being careful not to over-tighten.
  3. Use the included wrench to tighten the hex nut counterclockwise until it is snug against the sensor.
  4. Screw the tire's valve cap onto the sensor.

Video Transcript for Review of TST - Tire Inflation and Repair - TST-507-FT-S2

Today we're going to take a look at the flow through tire sensors for TST TPMS. This is going to come as a quantity of two so we'll a sensor for each side. And the nice thing about this is that it's going to allow you to monitor two additional tires with your TST tire pressure monitoring system. But it also allows for the flow to go through the design so you can inflate your tire or deflate it without having to remove the sensor. It's just going to easily install onto your tires valve stem. It's designed for use on steel, chrome, or nickel valve stems with that brass construction.

And it's designed to be used with the TST-507-FT-4-C and TST-507-FT-6-C.As far as the dimensions, it's going to be 1 inch in diameter and about 7/8 of an inch tall and 2 1/8 inch long. The pressure range is going to be from zero to 190 PSI. The operating frequency is 433.92 megahertz. The operating temperature range goes from -40 degrees fahrenheit up to 176 degrees fahrenheit or -40 degree celsius up to 80 degrees celsius. Storage, it's going to be about the same going from -40 degrees fahrenheit up to 185 degrees fahrenheit.

Or -40 celsius up to 85 celsius. The battery is going to last between a year and a year and a half. And again, you do get the two sensors. You also get our hardware, including the two nuts, two small gaskets, and two larger gaskets, and five small screws, and our tool to tighten everything down. There's also our caps on the end of each of those valve stems. This product also comes with a three year limited warranty from TST.And that's going to do it for our look at the flow through tire sensors for TST TPMS.

  • TPMS to Use with Wheel Masters Airless 4-Hose Inflation Kit
  • I reached out to my contact at TireMinder who said that their Smart TPMS # TPMS-APP-6 is only compatible with valve extensions if they are solid steel and not braided. Since the Wheel Masters Airless 4-Hose Inflation Kit # WM82082 uses braided hoses you'll need to use a different system. I reached out to my contact at TST who said that their sensors are compatible as long as the end of the valve is secured with a bracket like what comes with the Wheels Masters kit. Since this is the...

  • Adding A Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System To An Existing Motorhome System
  • The # TST-507-FT-S2 will work though these cannot be used on rubber stems and you will have a higher chance of curbing because these stand out a bit. I did contact TST who recommended the Brass Tire Sensors for TST TPMS - Qty 4 # TST-507-RV-S4 as a better solution that addresses those concerns. Either will work for you but I wanted to make sure you're aware of your options. Included are review videos for your review.

  • How to Monitor Tires on 2018 Ford F-250 with TST Tire Pressure Monitoring System for Trailer
  • The TPMS on your 2018 Ford F-250 are using their own system and it won't be compatible with the TST TPMS # TST-507-FT-4-C that you are using for your trailer. If you wanted to use the TST to monitor the tires on your F-250 as well then you'll need to install some TST sensors on your truck tires. You can either use more of the Flow Through Sensors # TST-507-FT-S2 (which comes with a quantity of 2 sensors) or you could mount the Internal Sensor # TST-507-INT-S1 on all 4 wheels but this option...

  • Will the TST-507-RV-6-C Work on an RV/Toad That is 68 ft Long Overall?
  • I spoke with my contact over at Truck Systems about the TPMS for RVs # TST-507-RV-6-C and those TPMS sensors will work for your RV, but he mentioned that you would likely want to use the system that has the Flow-Through caps instead, which can be found with part # TST-507-FT-6-C . This is the same exact system with the color monitor, but the caps will allow you to fill your tires without removing the TPMS caps if the need arises. Since there is not a pack of 12 sensors available, you'll...

  • Valve Stem Flow Through Sensors for Tire Pressure Management System
  • The Flow Through Tire Sensors for TST TPMS - Qty 2 # TST-507-FT-S2 comes with the nut that fits on the valve stem behind the sensor. This nut and the special wrench will allow you to tighten that nut to the sensor from the back to secure it to your valve stem for increased security. You are correct that the nut and wrench are on the input side of the sensor and not the output so I'll have that photo removed as it is incorrect.

  • Replacing Damaged or Lost Sensor on TST TPMS TST-507-FT-6-C
  • According to my contact at TST, there are two scenarios that would indicate a sensor failure on your TST TPMS # TST-507-FT-6-C. If the battery is dead or sensor communication is interrupted temporarily, lines or dashes "---" are displayed for that sensor on the monitor. Since the battery life on the system can be anywhere from 12 to 18 months, this is unlikely. Also, the system automatically refreshes to display new information every 5 minutes, so the dashes would not be displayed for...
