I have a solution for you but the Curt item # C16427-104 will not fit your 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Long Bed. Instead you will want the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Dodge Ram - Carbide Finish item # C16420-204. This kit is custom fit and designed for your truck. The custom fit brackets mount to existing holes in your Ram's frame. I have linked an installation video below.

To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long item # C56071 to your 2006 Ram 3500. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
