Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Gloss Finish Base Rails with the Installation Kit. Now, these base rails will provide the necessary attachment points for fifth wheel installation. The universal brackets will fit nearly any application. We do also offer semi-custom brackets that can be used to ease installation on certain vehicles. We do sell those separately. I would just recommend using our fit guide to see if they have them available for your application.
This is a complete kit. It includes both rails, the universal brackets, the hardware, and a set of directions on how to install everything. The finish on the rail is a nice glossy black finish. These rails are compatible with fifth wheel hitches like Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese, Valley, and Husky. The boy's were great to work with. We figured out universal mounts cannot be used on 2013 and newer ram pickups.
Was an easy install considering the age of our truck, 94 f250 diesel. Pulls very nice. Our 1st 5th wheel and where we will begin our retirement journey.

Working like a champ after one year. I would recommend this product
Have owned this Curt Rail Kit for a year. These rails are very good quality product. I installed them myself, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I use a Curt Q25 hitch and pull a 40 ft fifth wheel from Florida to Ohio and back, and this combination works very well. etrailer info,price and shipping was excellent.

Still in excellent condition, and working well
The rails fit my existing 5th wheel hitch perfectly! The install was VERY difficult. It was very hard installing the bolts above the frame. I could barely get my fingers in between the frame and the bed to get the required two washers and nut on. Then tightening the bolt was super hard also. After a series of choice words I finally got them on. It was suggested that there be 110 lbs of torque on each bolt. The only problem was with the above mentioned bolts, there was no room for a torque wrench. So I tightened just as much as I could muster hoping that it will be good enough. Other than that the instructions were good and self explanatory. I really don't know how else you could attach the bolts where they had to go.

Follow up, the rails have held well! I have had not problems keeping them in place. They have been able to hold the weight of my 5th Wheel trailer. They have not budged one bit.
I think you need better boxes to hold steel. You could save money by not having to ship out replacement parts

I had to totally re fabricate the two end pieces but I made them work. Instead of going on inside of I beams I had to make them go on outside of I beams.
Molly walked me right through it install went great
When I received my package from ups, the box was trashed and had been taped all over to hold it together. When I opened the box it was missing numerous pieces. I immediately emailed and called etrailer and spoke with someone who took note of every part that was missing and took care of express shipping them to me. Was obviously the mail service that destroyed the package but etrailer took care of it.
The product has not installed but as for delivery it was acceptable. Of course watching the updates on the progress of my package was disheartening as UPS drove by me twice and I could have had my kit 3 days sooner the 5 days to deliver is not bad.

The product is performing excellently. Installation was easy and I have had no trouble towing my 25ft. travel trailer.
We ordered 5th wheel rails and hardware took a few days. Once we received them from UPS the box was tore open and we were missing the hardware. Called etrailers and without hesitation they sent us the equipment that was missing. Thank you so much!
Easy installation, great product, and it's used often. The price was better than anywhere else too. I will buy from etrailer again. I have 7 trailers, so I'll always need parts lol.
The kit I bought didn't work for the hitch I had. So I just bought a whole new hitch and used the install kit I got from etrailer.
I received my order on 11-19-2019 and was very pleased with the product, price and packaging. It arrived undamaged and ready for installation. I can't wait to get it installed and the 5th wheel mounted so I can begin pulling trailers again.

I purchased some new rails for my 5th wheel hitch and they told me it would be delivered today when I ordered and it was spot on. The price was 60 to 100 dollars cheaper then any other place I checked.

Looks like good quality. All parts received in good condition. Very quick shipping. Good people to buy from.
Great product, easy install. Only down fall is it makes loading flat stuff in the truck difficult, but knew that was part of the install going into it.

After a year, the rails sticking up a little in the bed… it’s a great setup. The little bit of inconvenience of the rails is worth it. The rail system is great, tows great can’t complain.

Glad we could help, Jeff! Can't say I was aware of the universal brackets not working either. You would think universal means universal, but I guess not. Have you had a chance to install the custom fit ones yet? And what are you going to be towing?
