I'm happy to provide you with installation details, but the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit # 16437 is not a fit for your 1997 Ford F-250/F-350.
While there are no custom brackets available for your truck, you can use a universal kit, like the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP30035 or the Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails with Installation Kit # C16100.
Brackets and rails of the same brand must be used, so if you already have the Curt rails, you can use brackets # C16101, or # RP30439 if you already have the Reese rails.
