Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Lippert 1621SHD 5th wheel pin box. Has a 21,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this pin box will serve as a direct replacement for that worn or damaged Lippert 1621SHD pin box that's on your 5th wheel trailer. Basically, the king pin right down here is what'll connect to any 5th wheel trailer hitch.
This is a nice, durable steel construction. You can see the whole part has a nice, black powder coat finish over it to help resist rust and corrosion. Now, this is a bolt-on installation. This will attach to your trailer frame with the existing hardware that's on your trailer. It will bolt into place along the two rows of bolt holes.
Now, one note I do wanna mention is you wanna make note of the bolt hole locations of your factory installed pin box cause you want to mount this pin box in the same hole settings using the factory hardware. Now, because of the weight of this pin box, it's about 115 pounds, you do want a friend to help you lift this into place during installation. This part is made in the USA. And as we mentioned, the weight capacity on this is 21,000 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the Lippert 1621SHD 5th wheel pin box..

the box worked great, it was for a new concession trailer. , right after i installed it i had health issues an have ot untoll mow recovered enough to finish trailer which i am now doing.

Products has been working fine. Would purchase again. However Etrailer still needs TPO review their packaging procedures. Just received a part that was packed improperly and protruded from the box
