The rack-and-pinion gear system does the work for you, smoothly moving the hitch head toward the tailgate as you turn and back toward the cab when you straighten out. The premium single-hook, wraparound jaw completely surrounds the king pin for 360-degree contact. That solid steel design, reinforced by a 3/4" thick locking bar, keeps the connection tight and quiet mile after mile. There’s no rattle like with slide-bar jaws—just a firm, confident link that holds steady even when towing heavy 5th wheels up to 21,000 lbs GTW with a vertical load limit of 5,250 lbs.
The double-pivot hitch head moves both front to back and side to side to help reduce jarring and make hitching easier. Three polyurethane dampeners inside the head absorb road shock and cut down on noise so towing feels calm and stable. The head pivots automatically when coupling, lining up with your trailer’s pin box for easier hookups on uneven ground.
Getting your trailer level is simple with three hitch height options—15-1/2", 16-3/4", and 18-1/4". You can fine-tune your setup to get proper bed rail clearance and stable handling. Once adjusted, the sturdy steel side plates bolt into place to lock your setting in solidly for consistent towing performance.
When it’s time to use your truck bed for something else, this underbed setup makes removal straightforward. Turn the handles to release the feet from their receivers, pull the safety pins, and lift the hitch out. With no rails left behind, you get full use of the bed again until your next trip. It’s a clean, practical setup that balances strength with everyday truck use.
This fifth-wheel trailer hitch is not compatible with Sidewinder or Revolution king pins. Do not use any device that changes the pivot point of your trailer's king pin with this hitch.

Now, this is a custom fit kit that is designed to fit various years and versions of the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado. Taking an overhead look here, this installation kit is designed for use with the Demco UMS 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches. These underbed rails are not exposed in your truck bed, so it allows for complete access to your truck bed when your hitch is removed. These four mounting holes, two on each rail, will sit flush with your truck bed, and they include these plastic cap plugs that are going to go into the holes in your truck bed to prevent dirt and grime from getting into them.
The brackets are vehicle-specific design, which reduces installation time and requires less drilling than your universal systems, and these brackets will mount to the outside of your truck's frame rails, drilling is required, and the crossmembers of these rails will sit along the top of the frame rails beneath the your truck bed and attached to these brackets. Now, all of these parts are made here in the USA of a sturdy steel construction with a black powder coat finish to help resist corrosion. Seems to be built very well, and installation was fairly easy considering the size and weight. Won’t know how it travels until I get the RV in the Spring….we shall see! In my particular case, I had to use spacer washers between one of the brackets and the hitch so it wouldn’t jam in the truck mounts but no big deal.
I’ve also figured out a way to “store” the hitch for the winter.

Great functional hitch. Poor powdercoating though (mostly flaking off) with quite a bit of rust after only a year.

Hitch sucks pain in the assembly to connect and disconnect.
Hitch looks great and functions great as well. Installation could’ve been smoother due to the installation instruction measurements being slightly off. Look at finding hole caps that are 3” instead of two and drilling the larger hole.

Hitch works great. Had some issues using it when I first got it with putting the pin to lock down the handle but its worked much better lately. The hitch is heavy so I leave it in the back of the truck. Wish I could remove it so it doesn't get weathered.
After a year, I still like my Demco autoslide. It works great. I have pulled my trailer quite a few times and have had no issues at all. I know quite a few people that pull 5th wheels and one actually went out and purchased a autoslide after watching mine work.
Instructions left alittle to interpretation when it came to hitch height in the bed of the truck. For a f350 super duty it is the medium set up. Save you some time and effort. Other then that it looks great and will be testing it out this weekend.
This hitch has been used daily since i purchased it. I deliver fifth wheel travel trailers all over the country. This hitch has worked flawlessly from day one. This hitch is one of the only products that I've ever bought that is exactly what it was described to be. Im not one to do reviews, so the fact that im doing this one , in itself, says a lot about the quality of your product. The design and looks are much better than any other hitch ive seen. It just looks better in the truck bed than others do.
