I wanted a vehicle specific product, which is what I got, however, it had some difficulty installing the unit and one of two bolts through the frame of the truck seamed short, because the bolt didn't completely go through the nut. I may have to replace the bolts with longer ones, otherwise its great.

  • Can New Base Rails Be Installed On a 2005 GMC Sierra 3500 with Old 5th Wheel Frame Brackets
I do have an option for you but you cannot mix and match base rails and frame brackets. Therefore, you'll have to purchase an entire new mounting kit, complete with frame brackets and base rails. I recommend the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Hitches part # DM8552012-71 which provides the ISR pattern.

  • Demco 5th Wheel Installation Kits for 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500
If your 2005 Silverado 2500 is a 6-1/2 foot bed you can use Demco 5th wheel universal installation kit # DM8552009-71 if you have the Premier Series 16K hitch # DM6076P-UL-16K, or custom install kit # DM8553004-12 if you have the Hijacker SL Series hitch # DM6076SL-16K. The part # DM8553004 that you referenced is just the frame brackets for the SL. If your Silverado 2500 is a long bed use either universal install kit # DM8552009-71 or for a shorter install time the custom install kit #...

  • Recommendation For 5th Wheel Hitch For 2009 Chevrolet Silverado HD
Depending on the total loaded weight of the fifth wheel you get, your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD should work for you. I did some research and found that GM has given the 2500 HD a maximum fifth wheel towing capacity of 16,700-lbs. What exactly are your limits will be determined by your vehicle model. Make sure to check your owner's manual for capacities and recommendations. If you have a 6-1/2 foot bed, I recommend the Demco Fifth Wheel Sliding Hitch, Item # DM8550034. You will...

  • 5th Wheel Bracket/Rail Installation Instructions For A 2006 GMC 2500
Hello Randy. I was able to find some resources that should be helpful for you. We do not deal with the RV pro brand, so I do not have anything pertaining specifically to their bracket kits. We do sell several other rail kits that will fit the 2006 GMC 2500 and I have included links to a few instruction manuals below. We do not have any instructions for the Demco SL rails on an 06 GMC, so this will be the closest thing we have. I have also linked a few install videos for you below if you...

  • Base Rails for 2004 Silverado 1 Ton Dually That Don't Require Drilling Holes in Frame
The only rails that won't require drilling a hole in your frame on either side are the Demco Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Hitches # DM8552012-71. This kit mounts to the existing holes in your frame. The only tradeoff is the higher price point. If you don't mind the additional cost then this is the way to go. If you would like to save some money and don't mind drilling 2 extra holes then I would stick with the # C16418-204

  • Demco Autoslide Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2007 GMC Sierra that Can Also Tow Gooseneck
We have just what you would need. To install a Demco Hijacker AutoSlide hitch you would instead need the hitch for industry standard rails part # DM8550035 and then for the rail kit to fit your 2007 GMC Sierra you would need the part # DM8552012-71. Once installed you would have the option to either use the fifth wheel hitch or the gooseneck adapter part # DM5996.

  • Auto Slider Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for Short Bed 2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD
Since you have a short bed you'd immediately need to rule out the Andersen Ultimate unless the trailer has a tapered nose as it won't give you enough offset for turning clearance. Since you'll need a slider hitch in your truck bed I'd recommend an auto slider like the Demco Hijacker Autoslide part # DM8550034. Having to get out and operate the slider every time you enter or leave a parking lot would be a hassle and inconvenient. The auto slider hitches make it so that you don't have to...

  • Recommended Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2008 Chevrolet 2500HD with 6-1/2 Foot Bed
I recommend the Reese # RP30051. I recommend the custom installation kit # RP50064-58 for the Titan 20K 5th Wheel hitch. This kit requires no drilling for the frame brackets and will therefore take less time to install on your truck. The Titan hitch will have 11 inches of travel and have a tongue weight of 5,000lbs and a gross towing weight of 20,000lbs. The dual-jaw system provides more jaw-to-king-pin contact than traditional dual-jaw hitches and its geared teeth ensure an even 360-degree...

  • 5TH Wheels Rails For Hijacker FWH 24 5TH Wheel Hitch On a 2008 Chevrolet 2500HD Long Bed
Your Hijacker FWH 24 may have one of 2 mounting systems. If your hitch drops onto rails you will need the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit # DM8552012-71 for your 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD long bed. If your hitch slides into the rails you will need the Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for Demco Hijacker SL Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # DM8553004-12.

Hey Ifontok, it looks like you need the Demco Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Hitches # DM8552004-71. This kit includes the base rails, the side plates, and all the hardware needed for install.

  • Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Short Bed
Since your truck has a short bed you have to go with a slider hitch to give you the needed clearance to make tight turns. Otherwise the corners of the front of the trailer will hit the cab of your truck around tight turns. Because using a slider hitch can be a bit of a hassle I really like the Demco Hijacker part # DM8550034 which automatically slides back as you make tight turns so you never have to worry about it. Then for a custom rail kit designed to minimize drilling and install...

  • Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch Options for a 2006 Chevy Silverado with a Short Bed
We do have Demco Autosliding 5th wheel hitches for your 2006 Chevy Silverado with the short bed but the Demco Hijacker # DM8550038 that you referenced is designed to fit the unique puck system found on Ford pickups. For a 1500 that is not a Flareside or Stepside then you can use the Universal Base Rail Kit # DM8552009-71 to use the 18K # DM8550034 or 21K # DM8550035 Demco Hijacker. This kit does require drilling. If you happen to have a 2500 instead then I recommend using the Custom Base...
