Question:
The truck I just recently purchased 2004 Chevy 2500hd 6 1/2 ft bed has a bandw hitch in it already. I am looking to pull a fifthwheel trailer and want to use an auto slider. Do any underbed rail kits fit and still allow me to keep my gooseneck hitch in place?

Expert Reply:
I have two options for you but there is no way to use an auto-sliding 5th wheel hitch with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch installed because there is no room for anything else to mount and you can't use an adapter because of the singular connection point and its inability to withstand the added torque for the auto-sliding 5th wheel hitch.
Therefore, you can either use the B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3400 or you will need to completely remove the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch and install the Underbed Rail and Installation Kit for Demco Hijacker part # DM8551004 so you can use the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider part # DM8550022.
