Question:
This question is for Jameson C. Someone in the FAQ’s section asked about the Lippert 3.0 leveling system and asked if you had it on a fifth wheel. Your reply to the question was….”I wish we did, but ours only has the 4 jack level system.” You proceed to talk about how there is no advantage of the 6 point over the 4 point and as long as the camper is under 20k lbs…the 4 point leveling system is sufficient. My question is, if the 4 point system like you have is sufficient…why did you respond that you wish you had the 6 point system for your trailer ?? I’m looking at getting the auto level system and am debating between 4 and 6 point system…my camper is only 14000k lbs and 30’ long so on paper I’d get a 4 point system….just wondering why you “wished” to have the 6 point system….looking for someone with experience with it before purchase.

I answered that question a very long time ago before we were carrying the 6 point system # LC675817. That's why I wished we carried it...not that I wish we had it for that guy but that we just carried it in general as people at the time were asking about it.
To pick between 6 point and 4 point system # LC358590 comes down to the distance between the center of the landing gear feet and the location of where the rear jack would go. The rear jack needs be placed one foot behind the rearmost axle hanger. So measure from the center of the landing gear jack back to rearmost suspension hanger and add 1 foot to that. If it's less than 20 feet you need the 4 point and if it's over 20 foot you'd want the 6 point. There's nothing to be gained by going with the 6 point if it's not called for otherwise Lippert would just try and sell everyone on the 6 point.
