Will this adapter also mount to a Thule Top track, the standard mount for Leer shells? Want a simple cheap way to mount a rotopax gas can to my leer shell.

Yes, since the T-slots of Thule racks and Yakima racks are the exact same you can use the Rotopax Mounting Kit for Yakima OverHaul HD and OutPost HD Truck Bed Ladder Racks # Y01167 in the Thule tracks.
