Best Weight Distribution System for a Forest River Rockwood Geo Pro G19FD
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Hi! I just ordered this to attach to a Rockwood Geo Pro G19FD I have on order. Been studying the installation instructions and was wondering, is the hitch on my trailer a top mount or bottom mount? I noted in the instructions my setup will vary depending on this. Found these pics online that are the most detailed I could find. Thanks

The trailer coupler on your Forest River Rockwood Geo Pro G19FD is a top mount otherwise known as an overslung coupler. With that being said, due to the limited amount of space you have on your tongue, I really don't think the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System part # FA92-00-0800 is the best option for you. In order for the Fastway e2 to work, you need space available on the frame 27" - 30" back from the center of the trailer coupler.
The best option for you with limited frame space in mind is the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System part # RP66083 with the Chain Hangers for Reese Weight Distribution Systems part # RP58305. This option will not take up any space on the top of the trailer frame. If you want to keep the propane tank cover then this is more than likely the option you are going to need to take. It is less cost effective and and will require minor drilling but it is a far better system with four point sway control compared to the two point sway control of the Fastway e2.
I have attached a review video for you as well.
