Difference Between Dexter and etrailer.com Brand 12 inch Brake Assemblies

I need new brakes for my 10 yr old trailer that takes 12inch X 2inch electric brakes. I would like to buy the self adjusting kind to replace my manual ones. The Dexter 23-458-459 will fit and so will the AKEBRK-7-SA. What are the differences between these two brake assemblies, other than price? Does one have a more more durable lining material or have better magnets than the other? Or is the Dexter more expensive because its a brand name? Do either come with mounting hardware?

Dexter brake assemblies like the part # 23-458-459 are essentially the best ones on the market. They use the best materials and and incredibly reliable and well-made.
That being said the etrailer.com brand assemblies part # AKEBRK-7-SA are also very well made too. We have sold a ton of these and gotten very positive feedback on how well they well they work and how reliable they are. If it was my money I would go with these unless you want to have the absolute nicest materials money can buy. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two sets.

Hi, I have a horse trailer with living quarters with two, 8000 lb axle. The axle are Lippert Components. Part Lc180-TB-92.7-od-10U-HPIB-SM-L-86580/36 Serial 045-002043797 I have two bearings go out on me. So I’m wondering if I should change to a different bearing or stay with the Lippert. When the last bearing went out, I have damaged my hub so I have to also buy a new hub.?
