Dim Taillights On Vehicle Troubleshooting After LED Conversion
Question:
I just installed new led tailights on my 2005 dodge ram. The drivers side works fine but the passenger side has multiple issues. It is very dim when I turn my lights on, when I press the brakes it flashes and when I turn my lights offor it takeseems several minutes to go out where the other goes out immediately. I would really appreciate some advice from an expert on this. Thanks much

Did you install load resistors on the circuits like the part # DI34ZR for each of the circuits that have a blinker on them?
What you described sounds like bad grounds or bad wiring. A very dim LED typically means it is picking up a very tiny amount of voltage on the circuit. Typically you wouldn't see this illumination with an incandescent but since LEDs can light up with the smallest amount of voltage the problem usually appears with an LED conversion.
Your best option is going to be to check the wiring of the circuit looking for any corrosion or exposed wire and fix as necessary.
