Features to know about

Installs Without Cutting or Splicing: Plug-In Harness

Wiring a trailer can be messy if you have to cut into factory wires, but this harness makes it easy. The Curt T-Connector plugs directly into the existing wiring behind the rear tail lights to give you a simple 4-pole flat trailer connector. There’s no need to splice or guess which wire does what—just plug it in and you’re ready to tow.

Sets You Up for Towing Lights Fast: 4-Pole Flat Connector

Most small trailers, like kayak and utility trailers, only need running lights, turn signals, and brake lights. The included 4-flat connector handles all of that so your trailer lights work right with your vehicle’s signals. It’s the standard setup for light-duty towing, so you can hook up and go without extra adapters.

Clean Installation Behind the Tail Lights: Hidden Plug-In Design

The harness tucks in neatly behind your tail lights, keeping everything out of sight and protected from damage. This hidden, plug-in design keeps the wiring clean and helps maintain a factory look while still giving you full trailer lighting function when you need it.

Works Without a Factory Tow Package: Powered Converter

If your vehicle didn’t come with a tow package, this harness fills that gap. The powered converter ensures your trailer’s lights get the right signals without overloading your vehicle’s wiring. It’s built for safe, reliable towing even on vehicles that don’t have tow wiring pre-installed.

Video Transcript for Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Chrysler 300C

Today on our 2017 Chrysler 300C, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C56235. This is what our wire looks like when it's installed. You can see it's going to live inside the vehicle. This is going to provide you the necessary power to light your trailer. You're going to have three amps per circuit for your stop and turn signals. You're going to has six amps per circuit for your tail lights. When you're not in use, you just simply take it, roll it up.

You can store it off to the side, and when you're ready to use it, drape it out the back. Make sure you stay away from the latch. Close your trunk. Now let's show you how to get this installed. To begin our installation, we need to get inside the trunk.

We're going to remove our floor covering here. We're going to remove this sill pan here. We're just going to lift up on it, so now we're going to remove our panels on the side here. First, we're going to take out this hook. We're going to be using a T25 star bit.

We're going to have two fasteners here. We're just going to pull up on them. Here we're going to have another push pin. We're just going to pull out on it. You're going to have some wiring that goes to this light. We're just going to unplug it.

All you're going to do is push it in on it's head to pull it out and take this and pull it around the trunk here. What we're doing, is we want to gain access to this plug here. From here, you want to unplug the taillight. This little red tab we're going to pull out and we're going to push down on that piece. We're going to take the end with our green wire and brown wire. We're going to hook one in into the wire we just off, the other end right into the spot where we removed that wire. Now, we're going to repeat that process on the other side of the vehicle. We went ahead and cleaned our area once we found a good location and we're going to take our two sided sticky tape and take one side, we're going to stick it to our modular box, press it in to place and we're going to take the other side, press it in to place. Make sure you got a good hole. Next, go ahead and put our ground in place, we're going to put it right here on the existing ground that's coming from the battery. We're going to use a 10 millimeter wrench. Go and install your ground and reinstall your nut. From here, we zip tied our yellow wire that's going over to our driver's side along the wire from the factory that's running around the back of the vehicle. It's underneath the sill panel. We're going to go ahead and put our carpeting back in place. You want to make sure that your power wire is coming out the bottom there. Feed that around there. You want to make sure to plug your light back up. Put these fasteners back in. Last we'll put inaudible 00:03:19 back. Now, we're going to repeat the same process on the other side of the vehicle. We're going to connect our positive cable. We're going to do it right here. We're going to be using a 10 millimeter socket. We'll remove the nut, put your ring terminal on, replace your nut, tighten it down. We'll put this cover back on. Once we have all our connections made, we can install our fuse. We can install our sill panel and it'll just pop into place. We can reinstall our floor cover. You want to make sure that your inaudible 00:03:58 holes hanging out. We'll go ahead and test everything out using part number I26 that you can find on our website. Brake lights, left turn, right turn, running lights. That'll do it for the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C56235 on our 2017 Chrysler 300C.

Worked very well

by:

Bought a chrome hitch cover and it came with a few scratches. Not worth sending back for another. I will install the electrical brake light connection this weekend. All in all, great products.

by:

Easiest wiring I’ve ever done. Perfect plug and play. Because the battery is in the rear, all the components went easily into the trunk. I watched the instruction video. I highly recommend you do the same. After reviewing the 5 minute video, the job took me a total of less than 30 minutes.

by:

Wonderful product. I would order it again. The only down side is there is no bracket to secure the 4 way to the car or the hitch. Turns out a bracket like that is very hard to find.

by:

This product was received earlier than expected and came with the directions as well as they install video on website that made it all work seamless. I installed it and my trailer lights are working. Very awesome.

by:

Simple installation. Hardest part was disconnecting the trunk lights to get the trim panels out of the way. Due to not understanding the way the connector latch worked, broke the wires off one of them.

All the wires were the correct length for my application (2015 Chrysler 300), so I did not need to use the extension connectors.

One detail that would improve the instructions for amateurs would be to have a close-up of each connector that must be removed, along with arrows showing what needs to be pushed, and in what direction, to properly remove the connector. Trial and error usually works, but... prefer not to error.

  • Trailer Wiring Harness For A 2018 Chrysler 300S
Hi Jamie! For your 2018 Chrysler 300S, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56235. This is a plug and play wiring harness that does need one wire run up to the battery for needed power, but overall it's not too difficult of an install. I included an install video we did with this harness on a 2017 300 for you to check out as well. The other harness you saw was likely the Tekonsha T-One 118658. This harness installs the exact same...

  • Recommended 4-Way Wiring Harness for a 2019 Chrysler 300
Kayak trailers usually have a 4-way connector because they're not heavy enough to require brakes. To add a 4-way connector to your 2019 Chrysler 300 you will want the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C56235. This wiring harness is custom fit and plugs into existing wiring behind your rear tail lights. I have linked an installation video below that will show you how to set this harness up. I have listed some other parts you will need to tow a trailer with your 2019 Chrysler...

  • Chrysler Pacifica Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation
The Chrysler Pacifica began production with the 2017 model year, so there was no 2016 model Chrysler Pacifica. Some auto manufacturers release the next year's model in late spring or early summer of the previous year, so it's easy to mistake the model year you have. It happens all the time. With that in mind, I'd recommend a Tekonsha trailer wiring harness, but the exact harness you need will depend on which trim level your Pacifica is. • For a Hybrid, I'd recommend # 119250KIT or # C59236 •...
