Question:
We are looking for a vehicle wiring harness for a 2013 Subaru WRX STI Sedan. I think it needs a powered converter. I dont see one on your site. Just wondered if you made one or had a compatible harness for the trailer wiring vehicle side. We need it for pulling our rescue boat for the Fire Department. If you could let us know I N would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

There is a wiring option that would work, but you'd need to hardwire in a wiring harness like part # C59496.
I spoke with my contacts at Tow Ready, and found that there isn't a plug-and-play option for the WRX STi Sedan model. They do offer a # 118573 plug and play converter, but it has NOT been tested on a WRX STi model, so I can't confirm fit.
To install the wiring harness, you'll need a circuit tester like part # 40376. You'll begin by having a helper activate the left turn signal while you use the tester to probe the wires exiting the rear of the taillight assembly on the driver's side. When you find the wire that makes the tester blink, tap the yellow wire from the converter into it. Have your helper step on the brake, and test until you find the wire with voltage on it, and tap the red wire into that circuit. Turn on the running lights, probe for the hot wire, and tap the brown wire into it. Activate the right turn signal, and probe the wiring behind the passenger side, looking for the hot wire. Tap the green wire into that circuit. The white wire would ground to the vehicle chassis.
The 4-pole connector will remain protected from the elements in the trunk area until needed. When you need to use the trailer connector, open the trunk and pull out the connector. Once you have the connector plugged into the trailer, gently close the trunk on the wire (being sure to avoid the latch area). The trunk opening has enough weatherstripping around it that the wire won't be damaged by closing the trunk on it.
