Replacement Breakaway Pin and Switch Recommendation for a Lost Pin

Question:

I need a replacement pin and cable for the breakaway switch. It looks like the Hopkins and the Bargeman pin but I thought I read that the Hopkins pin was 3+ inches long. The pin I have is 2 inches long from the flange to the tip and is like the double blade otherwise. It does not look like the Tekonsha or the other square looking pin of the Hopkins brand. I have purchased two of these switches locally and they have the same name on them COT #91S. They are packaged by a trailer manufacturer Carry-on Trailer company but probably not made by them. The Hoppy rack has breakaway switch kits too, but no replacement pin and lanyard. This is at our local Mills Fleet Farm store.

The easiest option you have that would make the most sense would be just to replace the switch and plug of your system. Especially considering how inexpensive they are.

I would recommend you get the # HM20010. This will wire in to your system exactly your old one will and will provide you with a new switch and plug that will eliminate any guess work.

Based on the picture you submitted the part # HM20012 would be too long to work as a replacement.
