Can a Folding Shank be Added to Any Brand Trailer Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier

Question:
I have a 2-inch wire basket for my truck but it does not fold-up like the ones you have on your website. Do you sell the 2-inch metal bracket that would allow a fixed wire basket to convert to a foldable type?

The replacement shanks for folding cargo carriers that we carry, such as # 52015, are designed just as replacements for specific cargo carrier models. They have not been tested on alternate models so the only way to know if any would work would be to test it.
If you know the manufacturer and model of your carrier I can determine if we have a folding replacement shank for it.
