where does it plug in on 2003 honda element?

You will need to remove the spring loaded hinged cover and the passengers side trim panel to access the wiring in the rear of the vehicle. The instructions (see link) have pictures to show exactly where the connector should be. Page 5 shows the instructions for the 2003-2004 Honda Element.
