Question:

Hi... I tow a 10,500 plus pound travel trailer with a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500hd Duramax. I use a 14,000 pound equalizer hitch. I experience some slight sway on the truck when towing, especiallyin windy conditions. Sort of a side to side movement. I check the trailer and dont see any fishtailing, but I can definitely feel the truck swaying. My question is will Timbrens help stop or slow the sway that I feel in the truck when towing in windy conditions? Thanks Dave R.

Hey Dave, welcome back! The Timbren SES can help support your rear suspension and reduce some side-to-side movement, but I don't think you'll see much improvement with what you're describing. It sounds like the wind is pushing your trailer around and you're feeling that movement in the truck.

For your 2026 Silverado 2500HD, I recommend the Hellwig Big Wig Rear Anti-Sway Bar # HE96XR instead. This will help reduce body roll and improve stability when towing, especially in windy conditions. With a heavier travel trailer like yours, I expect you'll still feel some movement, but the Hellwig will make a noticeable improvement.

What kind of travel trailer are you towing?
