My truck is a 2012 Chev Silverado LTZ 4x4 extended cab, std box. It is equipped with factory trailer tow pkg and Integrated Brake Controller. I will be towing a 2026 forest river No-Bo 18.2 BeastMode RV trailer. The top of the coupler is 28 with the RV level. The RV weighs 4143 empty with 500 tongue weight. Loading will add to that weight. The top of the truck receiver tube is 18. The truck suspension squats 4 to 6 with the RV. What weight distributing with sway control hitch will have the capacity and enough rise to keep the RV near level while towing?

Hey Roger, thanks for reaching out, and congrats on the new camper! For your Silverado and No-Bo 18.2 BeastMode, I really like the Fastway e2 setup. Here is what I recommend:
- Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Hitch w/ 2-Point Sway Control - 10,000 lbs GTW / 1,000 lbs TW # FA94-00-1033
- Fastway e2 Shank - 12" Long - 12-1/2" Rise / 9-3/4" Drop # FA92-02-4315
The e2 is rated for 600-1,000 lbs of tongue weight, which puts your No-Bo right in its sweet spot once you add batteries, propane, cargo, and camping gear. It will transfer some of that weight back onto the Silverado's front axle to bring the truck back toward level, and the built-in 2-point sway control helps keep the trailer planted in crosswinds and when semis pass. With the amount of squat you're seeing now, this will make a big difference in how the whole setup feels going down the road.
With your receiver at 18" and the trailer coupler around 28", you also need quite a bit of rise. The # FA92-02-4315 gives you up to 12-1/2" of rise, so it gives you plenty of adjustment to get the No-Bo level instead of settling for a nose-high or nose-low setup. This combination gives you the capacity, sway control, and height adjustment you need. I think you'll be very happy with the results.
One important thing to note is this WD hitch requires the frame brackets to be placed between 24" and 27" back from the hitch ball. You'll want to measure out the tongue and make sure you have room for the frame brackets in this location. As long as there are no obstructions like batteries or propane tanks in that location, you'll be good to go.
