Is The Curt RockerBall Gooseneck Ball C67DR A Good Choice When Towing Multiple Trailers?
Updated 09/02/2026 | Published 08/30/2026 >
Question:
I see mixed reviews on the Curt Rockerball gooseneck shocker hitch. I have a 2018 Keystone Cougar 25 RES and a 16’ cattle trailer that I pull. Is this a good choice? I’ve already spent more on the trailer than I was expecting. Thanks

Hi Dennis!
While the Curt RockerBall Shock Absorbing Gooseneck Hitch Ball - 2-5/16" Diameter - 30K # C67DR is definitely not a bad choice. Especially since you have multiple trailers you pull. We do have fairly mixed reviews on the page, but I will say the vast majority of people that have ordered this have had a good experience. As with most reviews on parts, people that have a less than stellar experience with a part are far likelier than those with a stellar experience to leave a review. But I am kind of rambling. Out of all the options we carry to help cushion a gooseneck hitch, this will be the best option for you.
The other option would be upgrading the 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter on your Keystone and then also upgrading the coupler on your cattle trailer. This would be significantly more expensive than the Curt RockerBall (like, SIGNIFICANTLY), but it is an option if you don't end up liking it. I think it will work quite well for you though. Just keep it clean and oiled.
What vehicle are you using to tow your two trailers? Have you thought about supplementing it's suspension to help when towing?
