Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2006 Buick LaCrosse

I have a 2006 Buick La Cross. I will be installing a wiring harness and have been told to install a harness that will protect the vehicles electronics computer etc. What harness will I need? Is the C56340 the product I need?

The Curt wiring harness part # C56340 is the correct wiring harness for your 2006 Buick LaCrosse. However, it does not have any circuit protection built into it. This is a custom harness designed to install easily on your vehicle, but it does not have circuit protection. Curt tested your vehicle and determined that circuit protections wasn't necessary.
If you wanted a harness with circuit protection you would want the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 119178KIT. This is a hardwire harness that will require cutting and splicing. Check out the install video and instructions that I attached.
