Question:
I am looking to add a second ac to my 2024 Imagine 25DBE. This will replace the vent in the bedroom area. Which brand, etc do you recommend. It will need to be wired to have its own dedicated 120 v power cord that will plug into a normal plug.

Hey Gary!
Your 2024 Grand Design Imagine XLS 25DBE came equipped with a Furrion 15,000 Btu air conditioner. That original model used R410A refrigerant and has since been discontinued, so a new unit won't be able to tie into the existing thermostat system.
For the second A/C in the bedroom, I recommend the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System with Manual Air Distribution Box # FR75TD. This is a complete setup with the rooftop unit and an air distribution box with built-in controls, so it operates independently and doesn't require a wall thermostat. It will work well for replacing the bedroom roof vent, provided you have access to the ceiling area for installation.
The A/C does need its own 120V AC power supply. It doesn't come from the factory with a standard plug and cord, but a dedicated power cord can be added to the unit's wiring so you can plug it into a properly rated 120V outlet. You'll just want to make sure the outlet and circuit can handle the A/C's electrical load.
That would give you a completely independent second A/C system for the bedroom of your Imagine XLS 25DBE.
One thing I'd like to clarify: are you planning to run that cord to a separate outlet at your campsite/home, or are you wanting to plug it into an outlet on the trailer itself? That will help determine the best way to power it safely.

Thank you for your response. Yes, I would run the cord to a second outlet at the campsite.
