Can I Use a Ductless 15k Furrion Chill Low-Profile AC w/ Heat Pump in a Ducted Setup?

Question. I have a Brinkley Z3100 with a chill he ducted in the bedroom. I am going to upgrade to the new low profile 15k chill cube and heat pump. A few questions: Duane boondockss YouTube channel tested the unit and loves it. He is suggestions the ductless version as he states it has a ducted mode and that the air will get to the bathroom which is ducted to the existing unit in the bedroom. And provide better cooling in bedroom with all dumps open. Do you concur with his recommendation. ? If not, I see the ducted version has an option that includes install kit. I just want to confirm that is all that will be needed and that it is compatible with my Brinkley Z3100.

Welcome back David! I definitely concur with Duane! That was an interesting video. The Furrion Chill Low-Profile AC with Heat Pump item # FR82TF in black and item # FR22TF in white aren't even out yet for purchase so he's got way more experience than we do at this point. Functionally, I see no issues that would hinder you using a ductless model in your ducted orientation.

The air distribution box he has is not something we carry as of 06/18/2026. Those AC units are supposed to be released at the end of next month so I would expect them in shortly.

The ducted Furrion Chill Low-Profile RV AC with Heat Pump and Install Kit item # FR79TQ in black or item # FR89TQ in white come with the standard air distribution box you see in the picture below.

I saw Duane's based in Miami and he's dealing with a massive amount of humidity. What region of the country do you typically camp in?

I am in South Florida. As well. St Lucie county. So can I preorder a white ductless with installation kit now?

@David Ok, so same humidity and heat then! They're not for sale on the website yet and we don't have the full ductless installation kit either. They should be posted in the next couple weeks. When they are you'll be able to click on the item # FR82TF in black and item # FR22TF in white.

So is the ducted version available now. And if so what is the downside to getting the ducted version, especially since the current chill HE is ducted to bathroom and also ducts in bedroom. ?

@David No, they're not available right now either. There would be no disadvantage. It would be a similar setup air flow wise to what you're running now.
