Features to know about

Cools Down Fast in Summer Heat: 15,000 Btu Performance

When the heat builds up inside, this 15,000 Btu Furrion Chill HE unit knocks it back quickly. Dual motors move cool air faster than single motor designs, pushing steady airflow through ducted or non-ducted setups. The R32 refrigerant keeps the system efficient and compliant with 2025 EPA regulations, so you get reliable cooling that’s ready for the next generation of RV systems.

Keeps Running When Power Is Low: Built-In Start Capacitor

Low voltage from a generator or campsite can make most AC units struggle, but not this one. The built-in start capacitor stores extra energy to give the compressor a boost when power dips. Once it’s running, that saved energy resets for the next startup, keeping the cool air coming without tripping breakers or stalling out when it’s hot and everyone’s plugged in.

Quieter Operation on the Road: Rubber Dampeners and EPP Foam Housing

Noise and vibration can wear you down after a long drive. This unit uses rubber dampeners on the compressor to cut down vibration and keep things smooth once it’s running. The EPP foam housing adds water and chemical resistance while helping regulate temperature to prevent overheating. The result is a steady 80dB outdoor sound pressure level that runs quieter than older models.

Built to Last Through Weather: UV-Resistant Cover and Thermal Protection

Rain, sun, and debris are no match for the UV-resistant outer cover that shields the internal components. It keeps water out and protects against fading and cracking from constant exposure. Inside, thermal insulation helps manage operating temperatures so motors don’t overheat during extended use—keeping performance consistent trip after trip.

Straightforward Replacement Setup: Works With Existing Furrion Systems

If you already run a Furrion setup, swapping to this new model keeps things simple. It replaces your existing Furrion Chill AC using the same style of bolt-on mounting (hardware not included) without complicated rewiring or adapters. At 84 lbs with overall dimensions of 34-13/16" long x 27-9/16" wide x 13-9/16" tall, it fits cleanly on the roof while staying streamlined for travel.

That's not what we want to hear, Q. What exactly is going on with it? These have a 2 year warranty and if it is something internal, I can't really see why that wouldn't be covered.

shipping was extremely fast! communication was excellent also!

  • RV AC Unit Replacement Recommendation for Dometic Brisk Air 2 AC Unit
Hey Kent, I have a solution for you but none of the options we carry were designed to just replace the top unit of a Dometic Brisk Air 2. Instead you'd want to go with an all new system that includes a new lower vent assembly and thermostat like the Furrion Chill Cube part # FR99TD. This is by far the quietest and coldest blowing option out there plus it has ability to use the remote as a mobile thermostat as well. How did you like the Brisk Air?

  • Why Does My Furrion Unit Keep Freezing (And How Do I Fix It)?
Hey Oland, thanks for reaching out! (***Update in comments***) Your Furrion AC is likely freezing up due to poor airflow, which is something that can happen over time. Furrion has an amazing article on how to troubleshoot their AC units that I'll have linked below, but the long and short of it is that you want to check and clean/repair the following: - Evaporator and condenser coils - Air filter(s) - AC baffle (or flow divider) - Low refrigerant - Broken thermostat - High humidity ...

  • Replacement AC for 2008 Fleetwood Southwind With Coleman Mach
Hey Robert, welcome back! The Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR45TD will work as a replacement. However, you will need to replace the entire system. All of the new units use R32 refrigerant due to 2025 EPA regulations and they aren't backwards compatible. Also, the GE is single zone only right now so I would stick with the Furrion. This kit comes with the air distribution box (ADB), multi zone controller, and a wall thermostat so it has everything you need. For the second...

  • Replacement Parts for a 1998 Fleetwood Jamboree Class C RV
Hey Joseph, thanks for reaching out! What parts are you looking for? The hard part about finding replacement parts for a given RV is that manufacturers aren't the best about keeping record of those parts, so they kind of end up being more universal. If you can let me know what you're needing, I can help you filter through the parts we have on our website to see if we have what you need!

  • Can Furrion Chill Cube Replace Carrier RV AC Unit
Hey Jim, you can replace your Carrier AC unit with a Furrion Chill Cube but the part number you mentioned is not the Cube. It's the old HE model and it wouldn't work as-is since it's only the top portion. Instead for a Cube you'd want the part # FR69TD which comes with everything needed. This replaces the top and lower pieces plus comes with everything else needed to install. Should mention this is an 18k BTU unit and there isn't a 15k option.

  • Best Replacement AC for a Carrier AC System
Hey Marc. I have a solution for you but we do not have any plug and play replacement options for the Carrier AC units. We found out at the end of last year the Advents we used to offer as replacements are not compatible. The plugs may connect but the functions are different. On top of that combining different manufacturer's systems voids all warranties. Additionally, the new EPA regulations mandated the use of the new R32 coolant. It's more efficient than the old R410A units but they're...

  • Does the Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Roof Air Conditioner Unit Come with a Remote?
Hello Bryan, What kind of setup do you currently have? The Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Roof Air Conditioner Unit – 15,000 Btu, Black – R32 # FR58TD doesn’t work with a remote. It operates either with a manual air distribution box or a wall-mounted thermostat. If you're looking for a setup that works with a remote, you'll want the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner with Air Distribution Box – Ductless – 18,000 Btu – Black # FR27TD. That one’s designed for a ductless system and...

  • Furrion Chill HE SoftStart Compatibility Explained for Dual AC RV Setup
Hi Michael, that’s a great question and you’re absolutely right to double check this first since the goal is to smooth out those startup spikes without creating new issues. Your Furrion FACR15HESA2-BL-AM Chill HE units (part # FR58TD) are not variable speed ACs, they use a traditional on and off compressor with selectable fan speeds, so they don’t fall into the inverter style category that plug in SoftStart units won’t work with. From that standpoint, the SoftStartUp part # SSR64FR is compatible...
