Question:
Hello - Interested in a trailer hitch for my 2013 Nissan Murano LE. Issue - mine has a rare Nissan NISMO bumper, which sits lower than stock bumper - so would need to cut facia if use your hitch to fit. However, Nissan made a convertible of this SUV - the CrossCabriolet which you list as a different part number. I think the CrossCabriolet version of the Murano had a lower rear bumper. Is there anyway that you could measure the attaching bracket lengths to see if the CrossCabriolet are longer. I know a little strange. Thanks, Tom

Thanks for letting us help Tom. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13577 is a confirmed fit for all 2013 Nissan Murano models, including the CrossCabriolet. I wasn't able to find any published dimensions for the NISMO rear bumper you mentioned, but I did take a measurement of the # 13577. The distance from the top of the frame mounting brackets to the top of the receiver cross tube is 5-1/4 inches. You can use that measurement to estimate clearance by measuring down from the frame mounting points on your Murano to the bottom of the rear bumper. That should give you a good idea of how much space you'll have between the hitch and the bumper.
One other option to consider is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e65AR. It's essentially the same hitch as the Curt, but it features a matte black powder coat finish. I believe either hitch should work well for your application.
What are you planning to use the hitch for most often—a bike rack, a cargo carrier, or towing a small trailer?

Hi - Thanks for the reply. I am looking to use the trailer hitch for a bike rack. Thanks for the info on the #1357. My question is if the CrossCabriotlet hitch distance is greater than the 5 1/4 inches for the standard Murano. Is is possible to please obtain this measurement? Regards, Tom
