Features to know about

Tackle Everyday Hauling: Class III Strength with 2" Receiver

This hitch opens the door to light and moderate towing or hauling jobs. With a 4,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 400-lb tongue weight rating, it’s built for small campers, boats, or utility trailers. The 2" x 2" receiver works with most ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers, so you can haul gear or tow equipment without juggling adapters.

Handle Projects Without the Hassle: Bolt-On Installation

It’s designed for straightforward DIY installs. The hitch bolts to the frame using existing holes, meaning no drilling or welding is required. A complete hardware kit and installation instructions are included, so you can get it mounted in a driveway with basic tools. Once installed, you’ve got a solid Class III connection point ready for towing or carrying accessories.

Keep It Looking Sharp: Matte Black Powder Coat That Hides Wear

The matte black finish doesn’t just look rugged—it works hard too. The powder coat over a protective base layer resists rust and corrosion while disguising dirt, scuffs, and small dings better than a glossy surface. The round-tube design keeps the hitch clean-looking under the bumper while holding up to daily use in all kinds of weather.

Side-by-side comparison of matte carbide powder coat and glossy black trailer hitch finishes showing the difference in texture and reflectivity

Close-up comparison of matte carbide versus glossy black trailer hitch finishes showing rugged texture versus smooth reflective surface

Built to Last: Fully Welded Steel Construction

Precision robotic welding gives this hitch its strength and consistent fit. Every seam is solid for durability over years of towing and hauling. Whether it’s carrying bikes or pulling a loaded trailer, that fully welded steel frame provides the confidence that your setup will stay secure mile after mile.

Nice looking and very easy install!

by:

Wonderful hitch. Never had an issue with it!

by:

One year later, hitch is working great on my 2013 nissan murano.

by:

Great customer service

by:

E trailer is the best! Using them for y ears

by:

My only suggestion is, do you research on videos on proper installation?

by:

Great product and instructions for an easy install. I would recommend.

by:

Great fit directions spot on make sure you clean weldnuts tap purchase was well worth it.

by:

Bolted right up and tugged a moving trailer from Portland to LA

by:

Very easy to install! Directions were g reat!

by:

Great hitch. heavy duty and a nice powder coated. In my case the directions state to drop the rear muffler assembly but I was able to install without dropping muffler.

This is second hitch I purchased from ETrailer. They have all your towing needs.

by:

I tried to drop the exhaust but it was more difficult than it looked (even with some WD-40 to lube the rubber connectors), so I decided to try installing without doing that. I got a 12x1.25 tap and it was well worth it--far easier to clean out the 12mm bolt holes with that than with one of the bolts (I tried both). Without dropping the exhaust it was a little challenging to get the tap lined up and turned all the way in--it's a pretty tight space. Then it is a two-person job to get the receiver bar in place--one person to hold one end while you hold the other and get one bolt in finger tight, then go to the other side and do the same. The receiver bar was just a little narrow--had to flex it a little to get the last bolt in. I did put the car up on jack stands to have more room to work. Really flexible folks might be able to do it without that. Torque the 12mm bolts to 83 ft./lb., the smaller bolt to 23 ft./lb., and you're done. Way cheaper than paying to have someone else do it.

I think I got my wires crossed on my review. I left an excellent rating on what I thought was the receiver hitch for my 2011 Nissan Murano, but I think the rating I left was for the wiring kit for the lights hookup. Really doesn’t make any difference because the wiring kit was excellent as well. I have etrailer hitches on two other vehicles I own. That’s the reason I came back to etrailer for this hitch. Perfect build quality and it fit like a glove. Excellent people to do business with. You won’t be disappointed.

by:

Hitch arrived in a box not damaged. The right side was good. The left side was bent slightly. Of course I learned this after starting on the right side. Took it back down and put it in a vice to straighten the left side. Once that was complete all went well. Lowering the exhaust and having the thread cleaner is a must. Makes it so much easier.

by:

Great hitch & it has not rusted, which is a plus.
Would recommend your company every time.

by:

It was super easy to install. Took 20 minutes. Fits right in. I bought for my nissan murano 2012 sl. Great product, heavy duty

by:

Super easy, barely an inconvenience!! I bought this hitch for my Murano and it fit like a glove. Incredibly easy to install by yourself, at 50, in your driveway. The hardest part of the entire task was fighting off 2 nests of wasps in my shed. I wanted to use four 2 x 10's I had so I could jack the back wheels up a few inches for clearance. Of course the boards were in the very back of the dilapidated shed and I had to employ art of war tactics to push past the beasts. This doubled the install time but fortunately all wasps were harmed in the process. The hitch was a breeze to install and the instructions and etrailer YouTube video were extremely helpful and accurate for the hitch install process but unfortunately it was of no benefit at all regarding the wasps. The instructions never even mentioned bugs. Still, 10 out of 10 stars!!

  • Recommended Solutions to Carry Bikes on a 2010 Nissan Murano
Does your Murano have a hitch or any type of roof rack? If it has a roof rack, is it just the rails that run front to back or does it also have the crossbars that run from passenger to driver side?

  • Receiver Hitch for 2013 Nissan Murano
Thanks for letting us help Tom. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13577 is a confirmed fit for all 2013 Nissan Murano models, including the CrossCabriolet. I wasn't able to find any published dimensions for the NISMO rear bumper you mentioned, but I did take a measurement of the # 13577. The distance from the top of the frame mounting brackets to the top of the receiver cross tube is 5-1/4 inches. You can use that measurement to estimate clearance by measuring down from the frame mounting...

  • What Trunk Racks Are Compatible With 2009 Nissan Murano?
My recommendation is the Yakima FullBack 2 bike rack, part # Y02634. It is a two bike trunk rack. It weights 22lbs, it has a maximum weight capacity of 35lbs per bike, and a total weight capacity of 70lbs. It has a lock that allows you to secure your bikes to the rack, anti-sway cradles that prevent your bikes from swinging while on the road, and rubber and foam pads to protect the finish on your car. But its best feature is the vehicle specific sizing it provides. This removes the guesswork...

  • Availability of Concealed Trailer Hitch for a 2011 Nissan Murano
Class-III hitches with the 2 inch receiver opening are the only hitches our suppliers offer for the 2011 Nissan Murano. We offer the Curt # 13577 and the etrrailer # e65AR. This are extremely similar hitches and neither have hidden crossbars. The main difference between the two is that the etrailer hitch has a matte black finish and the Curt hitch has a shiny black finish. I personally think that the matte black looks better on the Murano and is not as noticeable as the shiny black....

  • What is Most Concealed Trailer Hitch that Fits 2009 Nissan Murano
The difference is just the look. Some prefer the look of a square and some a round tube hitch. Both can look more or less visible depending on the application. Some vehicles with more round body panels will look better with a round tube, but a truck with a square bumper looks better with a square hitch. Really depends on what you think looks best. For your 2009 Nissan Murano we have two round tube hitches, one from Curt # 13577 and one from etrailer # e65AR, with the etrailer model #...

The hitch you referred to, the etrailer # e65AR is a fit for your Murano. For wiring, you will need Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 118653 to have a 4-way connector at the rear of your vehicle.
