Replacement End Cap for Sewer Hose Storage Tube

Updated 07/27/2026 | Published 07/19/2026

Question:

We lost the black screw in cap to our sewer hose storage tube. Luckily we did not lose the hoses! The storage tube is on our Airstream 25 ft flying cloud 2023 Can you let me know the correct cap to order?

Hi Melinda,

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, there's no reliable way for me to identify the sewer hose carrier on your camper based on the make and model. The Replacement End Cap # VA82VR is designed specifically for the Valterra EZ Sewer Hose Carrier, such as # A04-0150XBK.

I'd recommend checking your existing sewer hose carrier for any branding or part numbers to help identify it. You may also want to look at the end cap on the opposite end of the carrier, as it sometimes has a manufacturer name or part number molded into it. If you're able to find any identifying information—or if you can send me a few photos of the carrier and the remaining end cap—I'd be happy to take a closer look and help confirm whether # VA82VR is the correct replacement.

I'm glad you caught it before you lost your sewer hose, too! Have you had a chance to take your camper out on any trips this summer?

Hi Chris, the sewer hose cap arrived today and it works like a champ. It fit perfectly and I like the little retainer piece that plugs into the tube - so hopefully this won't happen again. We head out on Monday for two weeks on the Maryland shore! -Melinda

Hi Melinda, We have a Valterra expandable tube and also lost one end cap that were the screw on type. We got the replacement cap, bought two very small master keyed alike locks and lined up the holes on the tube and cap, put the locks on and no problem since. It also made for security (we had two hoses stolen where we had to store the trailer). Safe travels!!

@JimP The ability to secure the # VA82VR with lock is definitely a nice touch. You wouldn't think you'd have to lock up a sewer hose but you never know what people are willing to take. Glad you got yours secured.
