Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at the Valterra replacement cap and strap for your EZ Hose Carrier. So, this is going to be either one of two colors. We'll have it in white and black. They're going to be the same exact thing, it's just available in the two different colors, so I wanted to show you both side by side so you know that you have options.Let's take a little closer look at our caps. Now, these are going to just replace the existing cap on your Valterra EZ Hose Carrier if it happened to break, come dislodged, get lost somewhere out on the road.
It does have that little strap tether to put that in place on your tube.This is intended to be used with the EZ Hose Carriers manufactured after October of 2019. So, keep that in mind. Check the manufacture date on your EZ Hose if you're not sure when it was manufactured. There should be a stamp on there somewhere to indicate when it was manufactured, and you just want to make sure that this is going to match with yours.These can be secured with a padlock on the side. There's a little tab there, so you can match that up with the tube, secure that in place.
And that's going to have a diameter of about 3/8 inches, so as long as you find a padlock that has a 3/8 or smaller inch diameter for that shackle bolt, you should be fine there. We do have a lot of options here at etrailer.com if you want to pick up one for us. Or of course you can use one that you already have lying around. No problem with doing that. It's just going to snap over that tube, keeps everything protected.
Again, that tether keeps the cap from getting lost while you're taking things out of your hose carrier.But that's pretty much all there is to it for our replacement cap and strap. Again, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching, and we'll see you next time.

I purchased an adjustable Pantera sewer hose container, and this cap came off and was lost. Amazon does not sell just the replacement cap. I was thankful that a trailer.com sells it that’s gravel Tara referred me to purchase it, but for a $[XX] cap at most it cost $[XX] close to $[XX] and $[XX] for shipping, I’m still thankful. At least I could get it but for a $[XX] purchase I could’ve purchased a whole new carrier and two caps this cap should have a better tie system to the carrier so you don’t lose it in the first place I’ve had to strap my other caps on with wire ties just so they don’t fall off .
Had to replace a lost cap on my Airstream Basecamp. Called Airstream parts and they wouldn't sell me directly and wanted me to buy off an Airstream dealer. Then they wouldn't even confirm what vendor they used for that storage tube so I did some sleuthing and figured out it was a Valterra carrier and then did an [online] search for a replacement cap.etrailer came up but they didn't have the size in the description so I called and the sales person helped me figure out which one was the correct part. Arrived promptly and fits perfectly all for a reasonable price and didn't have to deal with an Airstream dealer and their ridiculous markup.

Works great No issues!
The end cap works well with the hose carrier; no binding or difficulty operating it. Just use small carabiner or clip on the locking loop while travelling so you won't need to buy another replacement cap due to it vibrating loose while driving your RV :-)

Cap fits either end of the Valterra sewer hose carrier. I’m going to add a small carabiner thru the lock holes to try to keep from losing this one!

Just the right replacement for the cover that I lost. Fits and looks good. I installed a clevis pin so that it won't fall off again.
I couldn't find the model of Valterra hose carrier cap at any local stores so I looked online. eTrailer had what I needed!
Had to ask valterra where I could get this replacement cap. Should have known etrailer would have what I wanted. Have purchased several items and never disappointed and the support is great.
Never would have thought you [ ETRAILER ] would have a replacement cap for this product.The RV stores certainly did not carry the part.This cap is the part I needed.
