Can 2021 VW Atlas With Curt 58150 7-Way Connector Use Redarc Tow-Pro Link

I have a 2021 VW Atlas without the tow package. It does have an aftermarket Curt hitch receiver 13481 and 7-way plug Curt 58150 that was installed and wired by a professional hitch and trailer company. Would the Tow Pro link work with the Curt 58150 7-way plug?

Hey Josh! You can install the Redarc Tow-Pro Link # RED57AR on your 2021 VW Atlas. However, you will need to swap out that connector for one that has a USCAR connection on the back.
You will need the Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975 along with the Curt 7-Way Trailer Plug Extension # C86DR. You will replace the Curt connector with the Pollak Connector. The plug extension is going to splice onto the wiring that was running into the Curt, so you will now have the appropriate USCAR connector on both ends.
Once that is done, you can add the Tow-Pro Link in-line with your new setup. It is a bit of extra work, but assuming you want a wireless controller it is worth it for the reliability and features you're getting with the Redarc brake controller.
