Hi David, that's a great question, and it's definitely something worth thinking about before loading up your cargo carrier. If you plan on stacking gear high enough on the Benton MoveHitch 60x24 Cargo Carrier, part # B38VR, that it could block your vehicle's tail lights, I recommend adding the Light Kit for etrailer Hitch and RV Mounted Cargo Carriers, part # e67RV. It was designed specifically for this carrier and gives you a set of auxiliary lights so your brake lights, turn signals, and running lights remain clearly visible.

To use the light kit, your vehicle will need a 4 way trailer connector to plug it in. If you're not sure whether your vehicle has one, just let me know the year, make, and model, and I'd be happy to help you find the right wiring if needed.

Out of curiosity, what are you planning to carry on the cargo carrier?
