Updated 07/18/2026 | Published 07/13/2026

Question:

I have a 2018 Ford F350. Is there any relocating of any coolers or lines I would need to do. I have attached photos of my truck. This is in regard to 306-X7904

Hi Chris! Thanks for the photo. That appears to be the auxiliary cooler on your 2018 Ford F-350. The EcoHitch Hidden Front Hitch # 306-X7904 comes with relocation brackets so you can lower the cooler and make room for the hitch. However, some customers have found that they were able to install it without relocating anything so you may be able to get by without it.

What will you be using the hitch for?

My 2019 F350 has the same transmission cooler. I had to use the included bracket that adjusts the mounting angle for the cooler so that the hitch will fit. There is enough play in the lines to accommodate the new bracket

Install on a 2022 f250 went smooth. Recommend having a helper. Easy to use with the opening in the bumper.

You will have to move that transmission cooler, but it’s honestly one of the easier parts of the installation. And worth it, because that thing has been awesome. I use it for a winch and have done some heavy work with it—absolutely no issues. Just remember that whatever you put in that receiver will likely affect your front bumper sensors, the radar device used for cruise control, and the pre-collision assist. You’ll receive a notification on your dash letting you know that it isn’t working—not a big deal.

I had no issues installing the front hitch on my 2019 Ford F-250 with 6.2L gas engine. This hitch bolts right onto existing holes. The front hitch made it possible for me to easily back up my boat on my curvy driveway. I couldn't make the turns with the rear hitch due to closeness of house on one side and big trees on the other side. Front hitch made it easy by shortening the turning radius. No extra cooler on my truck so nothing had to be moved, but brackets are included to move stuff around when necessary.

Yes but the oil cool has to be moved down and a little forward. Not a big deal. There are brackets that come with the kit.
