Are There Typically Sales for Rhino Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Assist RTL002

Question:
When do you typically have sales? I’m interested in purchasing the Rhino Rack T loader and have seen it on sale many times on your website, but wasn’t quite ready to purchase at that time. Thank you.

Hey Justin, we generally don't run a lot of sales but instead try to have competitive prices all the time. While I don't have complete access to price history for the # RTL002 I was able to see some info and had to go back to 2019 to really see a significant price difference to what it is being offered for right now. If you need it now I wouldn't worry too much about waiting for any type of sale or discount as typically that's not something we do at all. What are you planning on using the rack for?

I'm using the RTL002 T-Loader to put a 13.5 ft long Hobie Compass Duo Kayak on top of a 2024 Land Cruiser. The Kayak weighs about 90 lbs. With the loader, I can easily get the Kayak on and off the roof rack by myself without worrying about the Kayak scratching the vehicle. For roof-rack transportation, Hobie recommends mounting the Kayak upside down to avoid damaging the hull. This is fairly easily accomplished with the T-Loader, but care is needed not to snag any of the mounts close to the Kayak top rail on the strap, such as the rudder control knob. Others suggest mounting the Kayak right-side up. If one wants to go that route, it will be necessary to attach the Hobie Compass Loader to the back end of the Kayak to protect the rudder; otherwise the rudder drags on the ground during loading which could cause damage to the rudder.

Made a tool box with an ammo can with tie downs and tools . Use it for tandem kayak and 13 ft canoe. Did have drill hole for correct height and haven’t touched it since. Easy to install and have a u-bolt and plate to stop vibration on the hitch. Extremely happy with it. I store it under the camper with a dolly when not in use.
