Will Swagman XTC Bike Rack Work with etrailer Hitch for 2024 Ford Transit T350

Hello, I purchased a bike rack item S64671 for a prior vehicle and have now purchased a Ford Transit 350. Id like to know if the trailer hitch e98842 and the bike rack would work together on the Transit. Specifically, if the bike rack will clear the bumper, as the hitch appears to be set back under the bumper when installed

Hey Joel, yes the etrailer hitch # e98842 that you are interested in for your 2024 Ford Transit T350 will work great with the Swagman XTC Tilt bike rack part # S64671 that you have. I also double checked to make sure the bumper to hitch clearance would allow the bike rack to fit and it does check out and would work great. When installed this hitch will have 5 inches from the center of it's hitch pin hole to outer edge of rear bumper which would be more than enough clearance for the bike rack to fit and clear.

Hi Joel, I’m a real customer. I own a 2020 Ford Transit 350 and installed the same hitch myself on our van primarily for hauling bikes. We have a Thule 2bike rack for our bikes and clearance from bumper is fine. however with the bikes on the rack I can’t open the rear dual doors even if I use the rack’s feature to tilt our bikes (rearward and down) away from the van. But this is an issue on all our other cars/F150 tailgate too. I love the hitch and it was easy to install. Good Luck

Be Careful when installing the hitch. The fastening bolts self thread into the "chassis" and barely handle the torque spec given without trying to strip out. Ue lock tite and maybe toruqe to a little less than specified.
