Troubleshooting Diode Kit Not Functioning in 2026 Jeep Wrangler that is Flat Towed

Updated 07/08/2026 | Published 07/05/2026

Question:

I installed this diode kit on a 2026 Jeep Wrangler. All lights work correctly however, the Jeep gives a left turn signal out warning. I have checked the connections on the left side and made sure the connectors were tight. What could cause this warning?

Hey Chris, does your 2026 Jeep Wrangler have Parksense? If so, then the correct diode tow bar lighting kit would be the part # RM47ZR that you referenced. If you do not have it then the correct kit would have been the part # RM-15267. If you can confirm what you have for me we can then go from there to see what the next thing to look at would be. Do the taillights still work?

I used the Roadmaster Smart system on my 2026 Gladiator with LED taillights. Did you check the ground wire on the left side? I'm not sure about the Wrangler, but my Gladiator must have a charge line, or I would have a dead battery.

I used the smart diode kit on a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee with good results. Biggest issue I had was the thin wiring used in the Jeep with LED lights. Found it was very susceptible to hidden breaks that were very hard to find.

@William yeah I bet! How did you make the connections to the thin wiring?

EASY INSTALLATION. I DID IT MYSLF. I NO LONGER HAVE THE VEHICLE. I DID NOT HAVE ANY ISSUES.
