Correct Flat Tow Wiring for 2026 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon With ParkSense

Updated 01/16/2026 | Published 01/15/2026

Question:

I have been purchasing the flat tow parts while waiting for my new 2026 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Picked it up yesterday and reviewing my parts list and believe I ordered the wrong wiring kit. I have the Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar, the Roadmaster brackets for my Jeep and the 152 wiring kit. In reviewing everything I believe the 152 is the wrong kit. You call the rear camera as Parksense which I have. Also my brake lights work when pressing the brakes without the Jeep running. I believe the kit is wrong and I need additional parts besides what I bought. I bought everything but the tow bar from e-trailer so you can verify my order and what I need. Thanks

Hey Kevin, welcome back! You are correct, since you have ParkSense on your 2026 Rubicon the # RM-152 is not the correct wiring kit. What you need instead is the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM47ZR. This will get everything up and running the way it should be.

Did you pick up a brake system as well? You're going to need one like the Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 # RVI94FR (permanent installation, includes charge line) or Curt RVi Series 4 # RVI44FR (portable, will need TBC+ # RVI74FR for charge line) if you don't already have one. You may also need a high-low adapter like the # e52ZV to keep your setup level.

What’s the first trip you’re planning with the Rubicon?
