Hey Brian, thanks for reaching out. I went out to our warehouse and measured one of the etrailer Sidewind Aluminum Jacks # e95YV. The distance from the center of the bracket to the bottom of the wheel is approximately 14" with the jack fully retracted.

What trailer were you thinking of putting it on?

Thanks so much, Jesse. I ended up finding this product made by Uriah new on a major home improvement supplier's website at a discount so I ordered it. Unfortunately, the product I received which I just confirmed with Uriah is the same model Etrailer is selling, is painted in an extremely light shade of gray, so much that most all who see it would think it's painted white. The colors on your website and others selling this show it as a medium gray but not an almost-white gray. For a saltwater boat and trailer this would be acceptable, but for a dark-painted freshwater boat and galvanized steel trailer, a white trailer jack looks a bit odd. I will return the one I purchased and order a traditional zinc-plated steel one from Etrailer. I suggest you consider changing the pictures and description to align with the actual color of the device, to miminize wasted time and effort on potential returns from customers expecting a truly gray trailer jack.

@Brian Hmm that is odd because the one I looked at in the warehouse was definitely the medium gray color shown in our pictures, not an almost-white gray.

Thanks, Jesse. Sorry for the confusion. Right after I sent that I saw the user picture posted here on your website and saw it is definitely a darker gray relative to a typical galvanized steel trailer. I suspect there could be something that Uriah isn't fully aware of on this jack regarding the color. I'll definitely consider ordering this one from Etrailer. Feel free to delete my response as it appears to not be valid. Thanks so much for the measurement.

@Brian Oh no worries at all! The # e95YV jack we advertise is our etrailer brand, so other companies usually don't carry them. Or at least not an identical version. We don't physically manufacture them here, but they are made specifically for us by a manufacturer overseas. I can assure you if you get one from us, it will be the darker gray you see in our pictures. Anyway, let me know if there is anything else I can do. You know where to find me!
