Question:
I own a unmodified 2026 GMC 1500 AT4X AEV. I am purchasing a BandW GMC MultiPro Adjustable Hitch. I have a choice of from 3, 5, 7 to 9. Which should I choose to tow a standard height trailer?

Hey Cary, I did some research and it looks like the hitch height for your 2026 GMC 1500 AT4X AEV is right at 24 to 25 inches in height. Typically trailer's have a coupler height that is between 16 and 19 inches in height so I would go with the 7 inch drop ideally but for the Multipro variation of the Tow and Stow the largest amount of drop is 4.5 inches with the part # BW29FR.
In the non-multipro variation we have the part # BWTS10049B which can do 7 inches of drop.

4.5" drop has been perfect for any of 6 different trailers I own, from car haulers to boat trailer to ski trailer, utility trailer and an 8x20 enclosed trailer. My truck is a 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 crew cab short bed.
