Will the Thule Outpace 2 bike rack fold up on a 2026 Mercedes gle350?

Hi Dee, based on our testing, I think you have a very good chance of the Thule OutPace 2 bike rack part # TH39SA folding up properly on your 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350. We tested it on a 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE 53, which actually has a larger rear bumper, and the rack folded up without any issues. I have attached that video, take a look at time stamp 3:55.
That said, since we haven't physically tested the OutPace on the 2026 GLE 350 yet, I can't guarantee the fit. The best way to know for sure is to measure from the center of your hitch pin hole to the furthest point of the rear bumper. When folded up, the OutPace has 4-1/4 inches of clearance from the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack, so comparing that measurement to your vehicle will tell you exactly how much room you'll have.
I know it's nice to know a rack will tuck up neatly when you're not carrying bikes, especially if it's going to stay on the vehicle most of the time. Based on the larger GLE we tested, I would expect the odds to be in your favor, but that quick measurement will remove any guesswork.

Thanks for your reply and above information. You may be interested to know the Thule OutPace 2 bike rack fits perfectly on my 2026 Mercedes GLE350! There is plenty of clearance for it to fold up properly when not in use and the back hatch opens and closes without any issues both with a bike on or off the rack! Thanks again for your information!
