Question:
I have a 1996 Jayco 1406 tent trailer that has an old Atwood surge brake coupler. The trailer has dexter torsion axles with 7inch hydraulic surge drum brakes. The master cylinder is rusty and one of the wheel cylinders is leaking. Id like to replace the brake assemblies and find a new coupler for it. The current coupler is welded in place. Id like to try to go bolt in if possible.

Hey John, to pick out the correct brake assemblies for your Jayco 1406 I would need to know the axle capacity if you can get that to me. Then for a drum brake surge actuator the Demco part # DM72VR would be what you'd need to replace the Atwood. This can bolt on or it can weld on depending on what you prefer.
