Will Heavier Duty Weight Distribution Bars Help With Trailer Sway?

I have an e2 weight distribution hitch with trunion bars 92-00-0450 rated at 450lbs tongue weight. I just upgraded my camper to one that weights just over 4,000 lbs and has a tongue weight of 400lbs. I get some sway. Can I just swap out the trunion bars to a higher weight capacity? 600 lbs? higher?

Welcome back William!
You are getting pretty close to the max capacity of your current set up, so swapping the bars to the Replacement Trunnion Spring Bar for Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Systems - 600 lbs TW # FA92-02-0699 will definitely help you out. These have a 200 to 600 pounds tongue weight capacity and will be your best option (this would land you right in the middle of the bar's capacity, which is where you want to be). Just keep in mind this is a single bar, so you will need to get two of them.
If you are still pulling your new camper with the 2022 Colorado, you could also do something like the Hellwig Adjustable Rear Anti-Sway Bar - 1" Diameter # HE47FR (stock height) or # HE58YR (if you have a 2 to 4 inch lift). A sway bar will mostly help the vehicle with sway, but it can therein help with the trailer as well. That said, if you have the ZR2 Bison model, neither of these will fit and you would need to go a different way. Let me know if that's what you have and I can find another option.
