Because the components bolt together around a versatile attachment plate, you can choose the right setup now and later adapt the hitch for compatible ball mounts, weight distribution heads, or other towing connections without replacing the entire shock-absorbing unit.

Add Drop for Lower Trailer Couplers

A standard ball mount may not provide enough adjustment for a tongue connection more than 2-1/4" below the receiver pin hole. The included extended ball mount bracket provides a maximum drop of 4-1/4". Your coupler can sit lower at the hitch for a more level towing setup.

Dial In Air Pressure for the Load

Trailer response changes as tongue weight changes, especially when you switch loads. Adjustable air pressure matches your trailer's tongue weight with no minimum required. You can set the air pressure around the current load for smoother movement during towing.

Carry Heavy Trailer Loads

Equipment trailers, car haulers, and other high-load setups need the hitch assembly to stay within the required ratings. This mount carries a 30,000-lb gross towing weight rating and a 3,000-lb maximum tongue weight, backed by six steel tie-rods rated at 16,200 lbs each. Your towing hardware supports demanding loads within these stated limits.

Keep Wear-Prone Parts Moving

Repeated shock loading can wear internal contact surfaces during frequent towing. Military-grade Nyloil construction is self-lubricating and resists crushing and wear within your mount, while brass air fittings help prevent leaks. The air system remains ready for repeated adjustment and movement during regular towing.
